No problem. Dont say that kind of stuff again though. Things like that can haunt you for the rest of your life.

I think it's hard or even impossible not to be a "homer" for the team you root for. There's always "let's trade Langhi and Collier for Lewis" type of fantasy trade proposals floating around dreamed up by *hardcore* homers. They amuses me but I can't demean the motive behind them as it's the same of mine, out of the love for the team. I won't take offense being called a homer, I'm a homer and proud to say that. It's always good to be an unrealistic homer than a bandwagner in my book.

Thats basically why I asked...I don't mind being labeled a homer, it equates with "fanatical fan" in my book..
But like I said, the term seems to have been adopted as an insult by some here. I wasn't necessarily meaning you, but when I saw it used in your post..I reminded me that I had been meaning to ask...

As for the ones that come up with unrealistic trade scenarios, maybe a new term...say..."flaming homers"? (there's your Simpsons reference for this thread) for them...

    I hate the offseason...:(

I just hope our PFs don't gang up on him and hurt him.

I'd like to see 10-15mpg of solid play, and then get him the hell out of there. He'll be a marked man. Let him go at the Euro team. We can get a good read on him watching those games. I want "friendlies" like Mr Mean and the Raging Bull to be his first taste of NBA muscle, not some superstars who are planning an ambush to test the new #1 pick.

The USA is going to win, no doubt about it. I just don't want to see Ming foul out in 15 minutes or get hurt. The centers on the USA team aren't bangers though, LaFrentz and O'Neil.

    MING wins....Rockets win championship.

    Is dat a curse??? :p
i just want to see wang zhi zhi back in the game.
I think it going to be a very close game between usa and china.
China can win the game if their centers keep out of foul troubles. :p

Sorry Lincoln China can't win the game regardless, it is simply not going to happen. I agree with Hey Partner in that 10-15 min of solid play would suffice. The overblown stat lines are nice and all but I think that it's dispicable to wish that others get hurt. One last thing that I would like to see is Yao dunking on Ben Wallace or some other "shot blocker". That would truly make my day.

China wins 451-449. Yao hits the game-winning hook shot after the 22nd overtime.

    Yao: 278 points, 145 rebounds, 100 assists, 28 blocks, 23 steals, 24 fouls.
(gets back in the game when the rest of the Chinese foul out).

Ben Wallace: 4 points, 169 boards.

Actually, 15-10 for Yao would be nice, in a close game. I want the USA to lose because of the Rockets snub. They had a chance to select Francis months ago, before he was injured, and they blew him off.

I would like to see Yao play a smart game against Ben Wallace and Elton Brand not get in foul trouble or get physically hurt.
If he scores 12 points and gets 7 rebounds and a block against the US I would be satisfied with him.
The USA team will of course go on to win as they should.
