I think people are expecting a bit much from Posey defensively. He's not Artest and Christie on defense and no one should expect him to be. He's not going to shut superstars down, not many players can can. He's a good one-on-one defender, not great. His big contribution is his help defense. He's one of the few players on this team that knows how and when to help teammates out defense. Unfortunately, his teammates don't undertsand this concept when he's in trouble. He gets key steals. How many charges has he drawn? Those don't show up on the stat sheet, but they're just as good as a steal.
Good post! He really adds some important skills that this team has been lakcing for a long time. It's good to see someone who can create something without having to do an iso.
The trade was great. Posey brings energy and hard defense to the Rockets. The only thing bad is his inconsistent shooting. But he's a player that can catch fire and be unstoppable sometimes. And he has some great moves, especially his spin move! I really hope they re-sign Posey, 'cause I love him.
