Rockets shoulda traded EG and draft pick for Posey and Blount..............I like KT much better than Posey. Posey is just STUPID sometimes

Posey would be a much better player on a transition oriented team.

We rarely fast break to take advantage of his athleticism and we won't as long as Steve is our PG and Yao becomes more and more integrated into the offense.

James Posey is a decent player on the wrong team.

I hope the Rockets do not give him more than $3 million/year because he's just not a good fit.

An athletic player who can't shoot or dribble.

    exactly.

Posey is a fast-breaking, hustle, defesive minded wing player. Not a halfcourt shooting sf that this team needs.

    Bye Po$er, bring in Nachy.

ps. if the rox resign Posey for big $$$ I'll be pissed. He's not worth a fat contract. Let someone else overspend for once.

Drop the Y and add the R and you get POSER

Defensive specialist is just a kinder way of saying, a guy who has limited talent but plays his all in running with the team down both sides of the court. Playing hard should always be a given. But players who are hustle only players tend to be limited talent-wise, more ways than one. I admit, prior to his trade that brought him to the Rox, I didn't see much of Posey play. But since then, I am absolutely aghast at his limited contributions in the starting role.

I said it once, I'll say it again.

Posey is good at a lot of little things but great at nothing

Does that warrant a starting spot? I think NO. Bring back Rice, PLEASE.

When Posey joined the Rockets after the trade he brought a lot of hustle to the team. That tenacity was great. I thought he was a great addition. But over the last month or so he hasn't been the same for whatever reason. It seems to look more and more like he won't be part of this team next year if his production continues in this manor. Perhaps T-Mo will get his minutes next year. Heck even Nachbar for that matter.

FYI, can anyone tell me if Posey is getting ANY back up 2 guard minutes or are they all at the 3 spot? I see Posey's only value if he can do both. We really need to cut down the minutes of our guards but can't afford to due to the lack of good guard play from the bench.

Posey's stock is falling fast. The way it's going, he's not gonna get any good contract.

The 2 position is call shooting guard, I guess that means you actually have to know how to shoot to be one. Plus Posey is not quick enough to cover most 2's.

    Doc Rocket, your quote:

"There's a specific reason why he's not getting TMO's minutes. It's not a bad reason, even though personally I find it a little odd, but it'll have to play itself out and it will. But right now, there is a particular reason why Rudy's doing it this way."

What TMo minutes/ what reason? Just curious since TMo was playing really well in his last PT where he got decent minutes against Dallas (10 rebound game, shot well, great overall game). Henceforth has seen token 1-2 minutes of PT or usually has seen no PT at all. Thanks in advance. FREDTERP

He cant hit an open jump shot if his life depended on it. But he has good defense.

He's the only guy on our team who can run the fast break properly. Actually he's so good at it, and the rest of the Rockets so bad, that several times he has just gotten the ball and taken it coast to coast all by himself. Remember that last second steal and fast break against Toronto?

And if you guys haven't noticed, when he is in, he is the guy who is feeding the ball to Yao now. He is long and better than Stevie at delivering it to Yao. He also seems to have a pretty good basketball IQ, despite yesterday's dumb foul.

His shot is pretty bad but it's also true that our guards don't seem to look for him either. I guess he needs to talk to the media about the guards moving the ball, that's the only way Glenn Rice was able to get the ball more than twice a game.

Posey does a lot of stupid things also, like shoot jumpshots, but I agree with the passing the ball to Yao and definitly about the fastbreak point. Does Rudy even practice the fastbreak in practice?

God, this is what I mean about you Texans. Look at this embarrassing, unabashed Posey defense. C'mon man...Steve and Cuttino can't keep up with Posey on the break?!?! Posey is a running disaster, and absolutely, no cool under pressure...that foul was not out of nowhere..it was indicative of his playing style...frenetic, dangerous basketball. Oh, and as far as GLen Rice...Glen feeds the post much better than Posey and, unlike POsey, deserves as many open touches as this team can give him...it's just unfortunate that he has to speak up for this, at times, selfish team to remember his credibility. Posey would embarrass himself by asking for more shots...the only ones he should get are open dunks and layups. Get your head outta the dunk contest and into team basketball...that's what wins games.

Thank you Mrs. Rice for your contribution on the board. If your husband would have stayed healthy and played average defense, then we wouldn't have to have this conversation. Also, tell Mr. Rice hello for me and that I am a big fan.

    yours trully,
