Isn't Luxury of depth good? If you have that luxury, pay the tax.
There will be tweaks along the way as morey said though.

    c. $3.5M over LT as is (14 man roster with Harris)
    c. $4.3M over LT including Deke (after rebate)

Several scenarios to get under LT. All 13-man rosters (league minimum):

    Francis + Head/Hayes traded for TE/s. Re-sign Deke.
    or
Head + Hayes traded for TE/s. Either Harris kept or waived and replaced with Deke.
    or
Hinrich + Ruffin* + Brown** for Alston + Battier + Hayes. Head traded for a TE. Ruffin waived. Re-sign Deke.

*scenario is dependant on Bulls keeping Ruffin over Fazekas and Cleaves as their 14th man. also on how Ruffin's non-guaranteed deal is structured. another note Ruffin can't be traded until the estimated date of Dec 28.

**either Elton Brown's rookie min deal is included or Rocks sign a rookie to the minimum for the Rocks to maintain a 13-man roster.

Uncle Leslie ain't paying no luxury tax, so I say Hayes and Head should be the 1st ones to go.

i honestly see steve turning it around. i dont mean he'll be a twenty points player, but i think with the injuries hopefully behind him ten points four assists three boards in around nintenn minutes off the bench is a real possibility.hence i dont see him being used in any trade unlesswere getting a solid player in return..

If they prioritize it, getting under the luxury tax won't be too hard this year. Its next year especially if everything plays out like they hope this coming season. Signing Ron Ron will take some major bucks and Yao and TMacs contract go up also. Next year is their waterloo, that's why its almost imperative that we make at least the WC final this year.
