What do you think about Jason Kidd's coaching now?

We liked him if I recall but he was another victim of us having too many guaranteed contracts.

I'm really happy for him. He's carved out a role for himself in the league after a devastating injury. That says a lot about his character.

 

I'm impressed

I was one of those guys laughing at him spilling water on the court, comparing them to the Knicks. Now it's pretty clear they're a better team.

I like how Kidd's not afraid to try wierd stuff to get different looks. He puts Pierce at the 5, exploits the hell out of Livingston's length. His smallball strategy is very Spoelstra-like. Give up boards but force TO's to make up for it.

 

Makes me wonder if Lawrence Frank was intentionally undermining him so that Kidd gets fired and he gets to replace Kidd.

 

I wish him the best of luck and honestly, he's too smart and too much basketball IQ to not be a good coach. I honestly had them peg in the beginning to be a powerhouse in the East (hence me drafting pierce and kg (((( ) He found a lineup that works and define their playstyle. And he also got veteran KG to whip you into shape and buy into the system. Plus his water spilling antics is genius. You might not like it, but it gave them a timeout in a situation where they didn't have one. It's innovative stuff like this that tells me he has potential to be good to great coach. Dare I say Phil Jackson status? Who knows, only time will tell.

 

Definitely better. He uses x's and o's. Kevin seems like he's a spectator on the bench, when coaching.

 

Jeremy Lin draws more x and os than McHale... its basically give Harden the ball 4th quarter and watch out or let everyone else try to iso.

 

Jason Kidd is good at coaching.
