The bottom line is you don't hire a rookie head coach with no sideline experience when you have a 1-2 year window.

As many of you know, I follow the Heat closely and regularly attend their games. I've predicted the past two years that the Heat would win the championship. I've predicted each time in each playoff series when they lose a game to two to some chumps like the Bulls or Pacers that there is no need to panic they they can turn it on or off when they need to and they always do and they win the series with no problems....

but Brooklyn is a team who can beat them. Brooklyn is stacked with talent, they give the Heat matchup problems and they hate Miami. A motivated Brooklyn team can take out Miami and come out of the East. Don't be surprised if this happens. I think it can.

Well, I think the Nets have turned a corner and have a good shot of moving up to #3 -- unreal (yes, the East is weak).

Side note: Knicks are 2.5 out of the 8th seed.

I remember when you made these predictions and all I could think of was how brave you were.

Kidd did the smart thing. Experiment with rotations until something worked and turn the locker room over to Garnett's capable hands. Many times the best coaching is the least intrusive.

He played forward and center with career averages of 6.7 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. Not sure who you're thinking of, but it's not Phil Jackson.

They better wrap up that 3rd seed or Jason Kidd is going to make hamburger meat of some chicks face, and none of us want that.

It's quite possible. No one looks dominant right now except San Antonio. Indiana is vulnerable, Miami is getting a little bit of fatcat-itis (as Kenny Smith called it in 1995-1996), and no one else in the East is going to make it out- except possibly the Nets. The Nets and San Antonio- that would be the strangest rematch coming, what 11 years later, right? With Kidd as the coach this time instead of the point guard, and Duncan, Parker, and Ginobili all still with the Spurs? Bizarro world.

Haralabos is known for not overreacting to a stretch of games so I found this interesting.

They've been really good at exploiting their size at the guards/wings position. Livingston can't shoot but has been doing all of the little things.

...They have been my pick all year, as well as my favorite team out East. They have the perfect balance of youth and vet leadership, and as the injuries have healed, they are putting it together. Kidd is a decent coach, but winning solves everything. He didn't know his coaching identity early on, but I think the tough times have shaped his character. It's cool to see how he has evolved from a former all star to coach.

I am a BIG Paul Pierce fan. If he gets another chance to step up to LeBronna, he will make it his last big stand. Same with KG. They're old and they know the window is closing.

Plus, they hate RayRay and it's understandable. As much as I like Ray Allen, he left the brotherhood and became a trophy chaser. It looked like his loyalty was shot.

I have them pulling an upset regardless of who they play.

You can't play the loyalty card when you tried to trade the dude.

Anyone surprised with how much Kidd got out of Livingston? Remember, we waived this dude last year
