What do YOU like about this team?

i agree. in the end it all comes down to putting the ball in the basket. we can have all the rebounding, and perimeter defense...but if the ball aint going in..we wont win.

it goes for any sport. look at the astros..clemens pitches a solid game and we score 0 runs.

defense is useless without offense to match it.

 

I like the prospect of not seeing guys like Rick Brunson or Ryan Bowen on the floor, and instead having a team who can play hard on both ends of the court.

 

i think the thread should be renamed to: what DONT u like about this team...and theres a simple answer..PF

 

What do I like about this team:

Yao Ming, Tracy Mcgrady, and Shane Battier. That's all.

 

What I like about this team is that they are going to be playing with a chip on thier shoulders.
1. T-Mac is going to have a monster year because he is out to proove that he is not washed up.
2. Bonzi is out to prove that he a good enough player and good enough teamate to earn big $$$.
3. Kill Bill, JL3, Novak, and Snyder are out to prove that they belong in the legue.
4. Yao wants desperately to get better to help lead CNT to a medal in the '08 games.
5. JVG could be coaching for his job.
6. Battier wants to prove that it was a good trade to get him.
7. Morey wants to learn all he can so he doesn't fall on his face next year.

 

I'll agree to that. You also forgot to mention Moochie, Bogans, and Frahm in your list.

 

I like the fact that there are no real scrubs on the team except Bowen but even he's useful for slowing down the Dirks for a few minutes and trying to get them out of their rhythm. Last year we had some CBA players that because of injuries, saw too much time on the floor. This time, even if we have injuries, I feel better about our chances of winning because we do have a deeper bench.

I wasn't for trading a pick for Bonzi, but at this price, he's a steal at the price we got him for. We still have some weaknesses in pf, pg, back c positions just as we were last year, but we greatly improved at the SG and backup SF positio

 

best thing about the Rockets is they're not the Hawks.

second best isthey dont have Swift on the roster.

and third best is they are fully loaded and versatile as hell.

 

Not reliable these games On my NBA Live 06 (yeah I'm outdated) I decided to control the Bobcats for a try and the Rockets ended up first seeded and won the championship, with last year's team. Sigh..........hope it will be like that this season.

last year when our shots werent going in...thats it....we couldnt do anything else

but this year...if our mid ranger not goign in.... we slash, take it to the basket, 3pt vice versa

our arsenal of attacks has increased signficantly while at the same time also increassed our defence ability which has always being decent

its great to know that the front office tackled our biggest problem of the lack of offense in this offseason

no one will/can stop us

 

i have watched Novak in the college leauge,i think he will get more time.

 

i like the fact that once we get badiane, we'll just need a south american and we'll be totally global. except antartica. but that'll just have to wait some more.

I like the fact that the Rockets can match up extremely well against any team, especially the western conference powers. The versatility of this team is going to be their strength. The role players on this team have been drastically improved. Just hope that these players learn how to play together early and this team will be pretty impossible to stop.

 

The fact that they have letters on the front on the uniform that spell Rockets.
