Jason Collier: Hello Tracy it's a pleasure to have you on our team. Welcome. Bostjan Nachbar: Zdravo znak ti si svoj idol Eddie Griffin: Werd. Oh wait... It's not 2003.
Now his trading value is low. So the best thing the Rockets could do is letting him rest as he wants. Bench him untill he proves himself in daily practices. I hope Tmac understand that without hardworking in practices, he cannot contribute, evenif he tries to paly hard in games. So the first step to recover is always to practice hard.
Yea because it will show he really wants to play, but at the same time during this road trip there has been no time to practice which makes beating Boston even more impressive. I'm sick of hearing about his knee ATM tell him to go away untill he proves his knee is ok by practicing hard on both ends. It's more problems to have him on the court if he is not healthy to compete there is a lack luster effort from him which wont make him a great player enough to contribute worth a damn. The #1 jersey on the court is not a great player when he can't give it his all that is all there is to it. I can remember Jordan scoring 62 with the flu in the playoffs.
i am not a fan of resigning him at all. he's a superstar on the decline. with that being said, i read a quote by a coach saying that superstars on the decline are the hardest to coach
I think it is time to cut him loose. This year we have looked much better without Tracy than we have with him. If he is not putting forth the effort, then this goes beyond his "injured" knee. I think it is time to realize that we are not going to get his equal in a trade, but we can get players that want to play and will make the Rockets a team, instead of just two superstars and some other guys. We should be able to get decent players for him that would not replace him, but help team chemistry. And I am not for the whole wait until 2010 thing, this happened quite a few years back also and every team is not going to come out a winner. I think a shrewd team could make trades this year or the next year that would be far more beneficial.
Exactly, well said, sir. Why get into a crowded market, when you can be the big dog or only player in a smaller one? DD
If we could get anything decent for him I say trade him. If we traded him now I think we would only be taking on other teams garbage. The problem with Tracy is consistency. He just doesn't have any. Will he be hurt or healthy? Will he jack up shots or play within the offense? Will he play defense or slack off? Will he play with heart or lay down? When he is on there isn't many who are better. The problem is he is off a lot more than he is on. I personally think he is one of the most overrated Super Stars at this point in his career. He is living on a reputation earned while in Orlando.
i mean rocket fans really over exagerate i mean dwayne wade has this same injury for the past two seasons a shoulder and knee and is just now getting back to playing above the rim so give him time a knee is nothing you want to mess with for all you non athletic front runner
Durvasa- Did we really need another t-mac thread? I mean I understand you want to say something, but there are a million threads talkig about what to do about tracy. I'm just saying.
We can't get anything for T-Mc. His contract is too rich and his performance is too poor. I hope Adelman puts him on the bench, saying he must get well for the end of the season. Then he needs to have the courage and conviction to leave T-Mc there until T-Mc himself starts yelling that he's healthy because, at some point, T-Mc's ego will kick in like a steroid-enhanced wrestler. However, Adelman can't give in to the first few times T-Mc says "I'm ready." Adelman has to wait for the froth to flow. Next year we trade him if we get a worthwhile player or players -- but not another beat-up has-been(s). Otherwise, let his contract expire and go for the gusto. That's my feeling about it.
I think you meant, do you want to do it with T-Mac? But Proposition 8 (in California)... I kid, I kid. I forgot what I voted him, but it wasn't the majority
Our team will not go far with $20M missing. This $20M better be someone else (or two players combined) than be T-Mac. T-Mac's long term value for this team is negative. For god's sake, don't resign him in any case unless iti s a sign and trade.
I didn't see any thread asking the question in my original post. It's not simply whether we should trade McGrady. And I wanted to ask it in the form of a poll.
