Stretch it as often as you canIf there is some way to stretch your knee). I pulled a muscle in my heel last year, and it hurt just to walk. I waited a week before going to the trainer at my school. I went there and they told me just to stretch it. I did, even though it was very painful to do so, and it went away in like 2 or 3 days. No matter how painful it feels, stratch it as much as you can take. Every little bit helps. If its a pulled muscle, it should work.
Hey rockets03 Click on this link and to the right is a directory of leg problems, look up patellar tendonitis. I think that may be what you have, also look at a few others. However, if you tore you meniscus you would probably be on the ground every time you agravated the injury. Still if you are not sure go see a professional and stop listening to us hacks
I would suggest going to a physiologist. I often get ankle or knee sprains as I study sports at university, and I have my own trainer advising me on these kind of pbls. ALA
I think I messed up some catilage in ym knee. It 's been hurting off and on for about 3 to 4 weeks, and the symptoms sound right. Plus, someone I know that tore his cartilage said thats what it sounds like, too. It doesn't really bother me thought, only when I work out my lower-body.
STOP!!! For future reference...Ice for first 24-48 hours...NO HEAT!!! The ice constricts the blood vessels minimizing swelling and bruising in the area. After 24-48 hours, apply heat. The heat reopens the vessels and allows the blood to flow again, speeding up the healing process. It doesn't sound like the muscles to me. It sounds more like tendons or ligaments. If you have access to a high school or college athletic trainer, go to him first. Trainers aren't doctors, but for a sports related injury, they sure can tell you if you need a doctor or not.
