I run the finance dept. for a real estate company in Houston. We rehab single family houses, build new moderate to low income housing, and do some commercial construction (strip centers & small office buildings) as well. Basically I manage our liquid assets & handle the banking relationships.
Yeah, I like it. Out of all the jobs I've had, this one is tops, in environment, opportunities and fun. For all the computer people looking for jobs, if you don't mind moving to VA, apply here It rocks. The coolest part is that Ted Leonsis "works" here too ... so I've been to so many Capitals and Wizards games for free ... nice seats, and if you get lucky, sometimes even club seats!
