I have a hard time believing that Harden sets the prices for nachos at TC. I'm sure he has one of his people do that.
I believe we have seen more news about Harden investing on some sh't that we never heard of rather than seeing him sleeping next to a stripper on Instagram the last couple year. So I really believe that : He must have hired Tilman's accountant too.
I dont doubt Hardens performance He is thic as an ox and has improved every year IMO. When he starts to get lousy late in the playoffs I think its more of a focus issue than performance
People don’t change... we can sit here and hope and look for what we wanna see. Then we gonna be holding our c0cks and cl!ts by trade deadline. Harden is like that crazy hot ex-girlfriend.
I would think it's just very hard to analyze Harden. It is what it is. The culture, the team, his status. All you can do right now is hope this team comes out like gangbusters and see what happens. A strong start would do a lot to quiet trade talks and all that in my opinion. If I am the Rockets, I drag my feet on trade talks until I get a sense of what this team is and see if winning changes Harden. One thing is for sure - no matter what Harden's alleged flaws are - you're much better off if you can keep him than if you trade him. But you have to get him to want in - and it seems that winning will do that. If this team starts off as the hottest in the NBA, then I think Harden will relent a bit. But if not, I think the saga continues.
I believe Christian Wood's injury is worse than the Rockets are saying. I wouldn't be surprised if he's out for the season. Oh wait, Harden? Heck if I know.
The truth is that "fat" man can still average 30 points a game and the Rockets are better with him than they are without him
i believe one thing, even at a dysfunctional setup, if james plays the whole year for us, we will still make the playoffs
I think asking whether it's his partying and/or maturity that are to blame for the current issues with the Rockets is like asking the marital status of the number 5, or the religious preference of rotting wood. If he's had playoff games where he partied hard the night before and failed to show up the following day with a top notch performance then I could see raising this question. We've had other examples of champions with massive egos who never needed to develop that type of maturity to win it all. We've also had other examples where that type of maturity may have been a necessary step to even sit on the bench for a bottom feeder NBA team, much less make the next step as a player on a team capable of winning it all. Like I think Harden may have pushed hard for WB to come here, but I blame management for listening to him. Like your Jordan example. Arguably the greatest basketball player of all time. Also one of the worst partial owners with input on roster assembly currently in the league. Who turns to Jordan for advice on how to develop a championship level roster? Then again, who wouldn't listen to Jerry West (a top 50 player, the actual logo of the NBA) if he was being candid with his wisdom on how to rebuild a franchise and draft the next budding superstar that could carry your franchise to playoff and championship relevancy for the next 15 years? Harden as player/GM may be closer to Jordan in building a winning roster than Jerry West is all I'm saying. And that still doesn't change that he's only a player. Not the GM. Not the owner. He's not wasting time worrying about whether the roster he prefers is under the luxury tax for instance. Not even in 2K. From the sound of it, it seems like if Morey put his foot down, he'd have had enough respect to listen. But with Morey gone? He's not even entertaining a conversation with Stone. Not even willing to just put the phone on speaker and get his butt kissed for showing up to play in the preseason. So if management can't handle the ego of a top 5 player that any roster would covet, that's on management IMO for letting things get to this point. Not Harden's partying. If Harden's partying was such an issue, he wouldn't be the player he is today. He might very well be even better if he cut it out, but I just don't think it's Harden's partying that got us Tillman, Stone, Morey exit, CP3 hammy injury, CP3 a step slower and injured part of the season the following season, not re-signing Ariza, or House banging a woman in the bubble, or all the deliberate attempts to avoid the repeater tax with a close to championship level roster. And that isn't to say that Harden is without personality flaws. I just think it's a scape goat to assume it's those flaws that are solely responsible for the Rockets being where they are right now.
