    Thus my post above.

Is there a leader in the organization strong enough to deal with Tmac, and that could mean....some serious tough love....like Stephan is getting in NY.

Comparing McGrady with Marbury is not fair. Marbury has always had the reputation of being a locker room cancer. T-Mac is not half way to that extent. In other words, Marbury is beyond redemption. I believe T-Mac is not like that. The fact that JVG could somehow get him to play shows that T-Mac can be motivated

I think we all know now that T-Mac is a high maintenance star. (For what reasons is a hotly debatable subject. Some believe it's physical plus his low tolerance of pain. Some believe it's all mental. Some believe he's just a selfish jerk.) But we also know that he is a high performance star IF he is properly "maintained." At some point, you have to ask if all the maintenance is worth it.

Easy, I am not comparing him to Tmac at all, just saying that the organization may have to be willing to bench him and tell him to go away.....like Marbury.

Show some tough love...that is what I was saying.

Juan V.- Nailed it. That's the deal and he doesn't want to take a shot to hoop.

But he also said something about TMac's knee not showing improvement in the MRI....well of course not...what would it show differently?

Maybe some more muscle development, but you would have to actually DEVELOP the muscle first.

Oh come on!! Les prefers T-Mac better than a championship? We are not talking about Yao...
Sorry guys, I became a Rockets fan thanks to T-Mac, so I really hope he can improve and be a part of a Rockets winning team, I know, I'm a dreamer :p

I think he's feeling discomfort and it becomes more of an issue for him after playing 5 or 6 games. The Rockets believe he can play through the pain without it doing serious damage to the knee, but he's unhappy with that option because the pain is a distraction for him and he's unable to do the things he accustomed to doing on the floor. He's also embarrassed with his last game, and he doesn't want to repeat something like that when he comes back. Was the timing of all this calculated to block a trade? There could be an element of that as well, but I don't think that's the main issue here.

i don't see how Trading him is an optiojn...why wouild any team want a player with this kind of baggage with this kind of drama...
the last thing they can do now with this is trade him...I think that is what TMAC wanted all long...not to be traded....
what owner would take on that contract and this little girl prancing around his locker room

DD, mri doesn't show discormfort or pain. From what gather, on good days the pain is like a stick pin sticking u, but on the bad days its like someone shocking you from your foot to ur head. Now, the only way on those days he can play is with a shot. As a man, do u sacrifice short term team success for long term health problems? The fact that he's rehabbing and its not getting better is the concern.

Is it too late to move McGrady even if it's for non-star but starting calibre talent?

If you want to give T Mac the benefit of the doubt then the prognosis is simple. He's simply never going to be an every night player ever again. He can give you flashes, but he can't give them to you consistently. In other words, he's done as a franchise player.

I've always liked T-Mac a lot and cut him slack for his injuries, but right now the team is too painful to watch when he's in the game and they are a lot of fun to watch when he's not. I'd rather pay him his salary and have him sit out the rest of the season, including the playoffs, if he can't be traded this year.

Time for Shemac to go. We are getting sick of his drama. If you are really injured say so. Instead of saying BS stuff like I'm going to show everyone that I'm back and promising I'll clean up my poor performances.

Still the same old T-Crap wanting attention to himself. I don't really care if he's really injured. It is time for him to go.

The fact that the organization is NOT backing him up speaks VOLUMES.

Yeah, this is what I gather after the missed dunk in Milwaukee. I think I have come to accept that he will never be the superstar player he was.

Well, if he accepts this and take a smaller role, I think he can still help the team, sort of like Grant Hill is now. But that's a big IF.

what that translates to this team is the yao-mcgrady era has now officially come to an end.

assuming yao stays and has 3-5 good years left, what do we do as a team? hope morey starts planning early (that means now).

Damn, remember how happy most of us were when Tracy first got here? I didn't like seeing Steve and Cat go and worried a bit about Mac's health, but it seemed like the sky was the limit.

This is one of the most disappointing teams I've been a fan of. At least the Franchise era Rockets left it all on the court.

Morey is planning to improve the team every day, but the problem is that you can only do what you can do at the best. Ideally, the best solution is to switch the coach between the rockets and spurs, I will guarantee you that Tmac, Artest or whoever will act well, play within the team chemistry, otherwise they get punished by their action for whatever beyond the team winning.
