Eventuality of Yao going down? He's had unique injuries. None of them are chronic, and none of them are expected to happen again.

Did anyone ever think Hakeem was injury prone when he had his cheek bone broken by Cartwright? Or when he missed games due to heart problems?

But Tmac and his weak back are well-documented. And dont forget, it would be much easier to trade him and receive appropriate value when he's healthy and playing well versus trading him when he's injured.

And I personally feel that the organization did a great job during the offseason. We had a lot of potential. Francis and James didnt pan out, but Scola and the draft picks have performed well. And also, its hard to find another star when tmac is getting paid so much.

We won't get much value back for Tmac, at least not this season. I honestly wanna keep Tmac and see how he performs at the playoffs with this new team before we even think about shipping him out. Hopefully we'll find out this season.

However if we can find a good trade later on, one that will give us a huge boost in our chances to move closer to a championship, then I'm all for it. But I believe right now we can only get some role players in return. I want another superstar in return for Tmac.

Your beginning line is lets be realistic. With this how do you expect NJ to trade 2 all stars for 1 broken down one. We magically if this happens still have space for Green and Villy, and all through this only semi prospect we give up is Head?

We need changes to get to Championship level I agree, but all that happening... yea you are hoping for a miracle.

Yeah agreed, T-Mac's value is arguably at an all time low right now and we wouldn't get near to equal value for him and considering we are still in a win now mode and that'd be the wrong direction to go in.

Just get some more experience, a third option, and consistency then I'd like our chances, but we still need a way to go IMO

The answer IMHO has been crystal clear from Day 1 of drafting Yao. And it escalated over the years as the NBA slanted the rules to favor the perimeter offensive players.

As best you can, mimic the Showtime Lakers. Surround Yao with greyhounds...Battier, Hayes and Alston were all steps in the wrong direction.

Even Spur-lover Steve Kerr sees that it's the best way to go. ;) :D

Can a brother dream, we never thought we would get Clyde for the 2nd run either and it happen. Please remember that Jefferson is going to bolt NJ once Kidd leaves. There will be no one to get him easy buckets like Kidd does and he will become tired of rebuilding year after year.

I bet you said the same thing about Horry, Chucky Brown, Hererra, and Elie.

our first champ season was in a different world then today's rules/refs - that doesn't work as well anymore

if it did, the spurs wouldn't need manu/parker
