I thought 2 yrs ago that they should have gotten SAR instead of Swift. I still think a guy that can score a little rebound a little at the 4 with a little more quickness than Howard would be ideal. Basically a younger improved clone of Howard would have and still is better for the rox. The problem i have with luther is when he's in the lineup, his pg skills sux. He's basically a spot up 2 guard at 6'3. So either you move him and get a quality backup pg or get a guy big enough to run the point while he's in the game with luther head. I would really like to see the rox get a guy with some upside and could grow. David Lee is a pipe dream and so is varejo from cleveland. A guy like Hunter might be ok for them. They have problems with atheltic perimeter 4 men. If they get Francis back, they can move head for 6'9 athelete type of guy. This team will always be a half court team, so the need to get a bunch of good half court players.

R2k, you are right about people and their agenda. There are a few here who seem to enjoy the Rockets less than they enjoy b****ing about the Rockets. They would rather see the team lose so they can b**** about their pet target than to see these guys do well and help the team win.

So very tiresome. But maybe you and I are just too old to understand the internet mob mentality.

I think it is imperative that we address both of these positions..and improve our overall athleticism in the process.

Without a doubt the Rockets need an athletic 4 who D's up and hits the boards...a guy that can play good interior defense.

But we also need a hybrid 1/2 that can play tenacious D,matching up with the big boys.Adequate ball handling yet has the ability to knock down open shots...

I'm also confident about Spanoulis's future as our solution at the point. He just needs the ball in his hands to initiate his game.

A point Guard would be my pick but only under very special circumstances. If the factors can't be met we should go for an athletic Tall Power Forward.
The Factors required are that the Point Guard must firstly be a
distributor/ Playmaker and should be tall enough to pass the ball into our 90" Center. Shooting must be secondary to his playmaking skills.

Spanoulis' problem isn't where the ball is to initiate the offense, it's where the ball is when he's done with it.

Too often it ends up in an opposing players's hands.

You probably fail at life just like you fail at this thread.

Can you enjoy the playoffs before thinking about the offseason?

    Why not?

It's the heat of the playoffs, Rafer fought for 46 minutes, Chuck rebounding like a mad man and he and Juwan are helping to hold the vaunted Utah frontline in check.

And all you can think about is replacing these Rockets with someone more to your liking.

The only thing about the Rockets that matter to you is probably the laundry. You like watching the red laundry running around and imagine having your fantasy team wearing them.

if rafer can get some time to rest up on the bench and not have to actually shoot so much, we would be a much better team imo but seeing as how hes the ONLY pg (mcgrady doesn't really count as the teams real pg) that can run our offense correctly we're stuck with him. i just wish he had time to rest maybe just hover around the 30 mpg mark. dreams can come true right? ;)

I'll say we need a backup PG and a start PF.
Head is nothing if his 3 is not falling. Juwan should be traded when he was hot. I love chuck but would be better coming off bench. If V-mac plays better next season, then PF is all we need.

Sean Singletary declared for the draft. This kid is all heart and an absolute leader on the court.

He's still a little raw but you can tell he has great court vision when he plays. He'll be there when the Rockets pick.
