the only realistic star player we can get i think is danny granger.

he can close out games, blocks and rebounds.

What do we need for a title?
There are a lot of things we need to do.
First, we have to get rid of T-Slack.
    Second, ......
    third, ......
    ......

    I thought this rotation:

    - Alston/Brooks
    - McGrady/Barry/Wafer
    - Battier/Artest/Wafer
    - Scola/Landry
    - Yao/Hayes/Mutombo

Was a pure rotation of a contender. Health.

    1. Chemistry
    2. Things to break right for them

That's it...they have enough talent now.....are they perfect or complete? No, not at all, they could get better, but complete teams are rare.

This team can win it all, now, as assembled, even without Tmac....but it woudl take a great chemistry and belief in each other and them not only understanding their roles but playing within them, consistently.

They have 20 games to figure it out......no more Chicago's.......let's see how it goes.

the good thing about playoff is it's not just a one game thing. so flopping can be addressed durign the course of the games. if a player is flopping, he gets the risk of not being called when a foul is actually committed. so let's get to playoffs and we'll see from there. as long as we'll be consistent with our defense, that is Shane and Ron are 100% healthy, we can achieve a deep deep win in the off-season.

Because it is. But we al know this team IS NOT GONNA BE HEALTHLY.

I even tought last season, without Artest and Barry, etc we had a pretty good chance at least for WCF. But last year Yao went down, this year it is T-Mac. That's all.

Houston Rockets are probably the most frustrating team in the entire league. It happens every single year.

Without a another playmaker out there...I'd say we need defense, dead eye 3pt shooting and penetration from the perimeter every game.

I think we could win it all if we get hot in the playoffs.

    Yes, agree.

Being a rocket fan is very very frustrating. Always like "look at what we are capable of doing" but won't do anyway.

Put a "healthy" Tracy on this team and yes you'll have his production numbers (20-6-6) which I'm sure a lot of you would love but we'd be back to being a stand around team again. He doesn't FIT with this style of basketball plain and simple, no matter how "healthy" he is. We now have a multi-pronged attack and can come at teams in a variety of ways. No longer relying on a wing player to make decisions for everyone.

If anything I'd love to see Rip Hamilton on this team. System guy who truly makes everyone else on the team better just based on his movement off the ball alone. Good passer, high b-ball IQ and most importantly an excellent playoff record and ring to go with it.

Wow. No way that's true. Maybe if the question was " What do we need to get out of the first round?".

I think you're right, but I'd rather get someone younger then Allen, cheaper too.

A lot that this team didn't nor ever had. No versitility, limited athleticism, small team. Never a winning combo.
