he shouldn't be. his season this year is identical to what tracy did last yr and tracy was hurt. the only untouchables in this L are lebron, kobe, wade, chris paul, and deron.

You need to combine some of those, otherwise you're looking at 3 new players, personally i dont think we want to give up that many of the players we got now, and a scrub isn't gonna get you any one of those. And we cant just sign them because our rotation would be too large.

So, mix the offensive center with the shot blocking 4. We need a PF/C, basically someone like Tyrus Thomas. I think that move alone, without Tmac and if healthy, puts us in the conf finals.

Then we either need tmac healthy, or we need to get rid of him and get a sweet shooting guard, like a Ray allen. I dont think we necessarily need a scorer like Tmac because we have developed several options around the court, so another guy like him may clog up the middle and stop the ball. We just need someone who drains 3s and the mid range jumper very consistently, with solid handles.

i think that pretty much completes this team.

Agree. This team can win it all if everybody is healthy.

the only thing though, if we can't use White this year, we should have kept Luther instead of releasing to accomodate White.

I think it's too early to say that (Ii'm assuming you mean Tmac too), i'm not sure this offense would click the same way with a healthy tmac.

WITHOUT ATMac. You can not win a series with a cancer player.

I'd like to see Houston go after chris andersen to fill the PF/C slot, that way they could keep scola/landry. He's only making like a mil this year and i believe is a FA this summer. He's averaging 2.3 blocks in only 19 mins, 50%+ Fg, 70% FT,

Humm, then i'm not sure, i think they need some consistentcy offensively at the SG spot, Wafer is great when he's on, but when he's cold he doesn't do much else and can't get anything going. We need someone at the 2 who's a consistent shooting/scoring threat.

I think a more appropriate title for this thread would be "What do we need for a better chance at a title?".

Even if you have all the pieces in place and are clearly the best team in the league, there is always an element of luck in every game.

The best team in the league doesn't always win it all, even if they do most of the time.

To win this season we need another serious scorer who can fit our system ie: One who can receive the ball in an open position and score.

A healthy, revamped and retrained McGrady could have been this person.

There is an outside chance that the leaper guy who we signed for 10 days might turn out to be this person to patially fill McGrady's shoes.(small chance)

Also Battier has to go to the bench or find a new lease on life- his defence and offence must get back to where it used to be!

Wafer need to get more playing time experience. :p

Off that list, I think only Josh Smith, Kirilenko, and Shawn Marion have the fear factor and the ability to change a game based on blocks. I have seen these three go for a lot of weak side blocks and they change a lot of shots. Kirilenko was huge in the Rockets and Warrior playoff series in blocking/altering a lot of shots. As is Josh Smith and Shawn Marion. Main reason being their athleticism and also the fact that they go for anything within their vicinity.

Not many others on that list are effective/fearful enough that coaches would change their game plans or players would constantly fear because of their shot blocking, including our Shane Battier. Shane is a good shot blocker for SF but its not as big of an impact.

We play good position and team defense but we need improvement in shot blocking area. If we could get an athletic shotblocker (don't ask me how, I am just saying if we could get one), it would complement our positional defense well and we would be extremely hard to break down defensively.

not just healthy...but humble, obedient and serious about winning attitude...without being and egotistical cancer.

THEN it will definitely be WON.

I admit I was skeptical about his comeback, but I would be happy if he joined the Rockets.Your points about him are correct.

We need 2 superstars...Yao, and a healthy t-mac. Ball hog or not healthy t-macs production stats do not lie. Keep ron and shane as our role players! And to have the C/Pf combination, what about someone like charlie v? Hes a free agent after this year and has an excellent drive to the basket and 3 point shot...and hes 6'10. The onlything he is missing is eyebrows

    Just that, simple as that.

Sure we could add another All Star caliber player to help us but health has been the problem since TMac and Yao paired up.
