A natural PF means he is not a tweener. He is not a 3 nor a 5. His game is suited to play the power forward position best. Scola was natural 4, not a 3 nor a 5. D-Mo is the next best suited to play the 4.

We havent even seen Royce or TJones play any NBA games. Parsons barely puts the ball on the floor, he doesnt have a face up or post up game. Royce cant rebound and TJones is more of a slasher then a threat in the paint. How do you know they can play the 4 at this level?

As far as upside - Royce, TJones and DMo has skills which Pat will probably never have but none of them have a chance holding up against Love, Griffin, Nowitzki, Gasol and all those guys like Pat can.

Pat has far better defensive upside then all of them. As far as offense goes he is still developing, we saw him trying to post up towards the end of last season but he was rushing and being too mechanical. He needs more time. He will get better on both ends.

SMH.....Parsons is more tuned to be a Point Forward than traditional Forward. Slashing and putting the ball on the floor is what he does.

Power Forwards: Patterson, Jones, White, DMo.

My guess is one goes to D-League, two stay on roster, the other gets traded or cut.

yeah ...this would make me very very angry. I don't like the D-League philosphy we seem to have. All of our draft picks would absolutely destroy the D-league. Why do these guys need to play in the D-league? We have nothing keeping these guys from playing real minutes in the NBA, except for a lopsided roster; and that can be changed. We are not a playoff team. There is no down-side to ending the season with a losing record this year; in fact, just the opposite. We need to get these kids as many minutes as possible.

Martin and one or our PFs need to be packaged in a trade for blue-chip asset, thus opening up more minutes at the 4 for the rest of our young guys, and continuing our rebuilding process.

I wouldn't bet all my money on that. Those D-Leaguers are hungry.

If Marcus Morris, TWill, and Thabeet can have good production in the D-League, that doesn't say much about the quality of competition there. Sorry, I'm down on the D-league ...

They had good production but they weren't "tearing it up".

TWill averaged 28 points, 11 rebounds, and 10.7 assits. Yes, a triple double.
Thabust averaged 12 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 blocks.
Marcus Morris averaged 21 points, and 8 rebounds.

yeah ...um ...they "tore it up" ...and they still suck.

No to that, why slow his development by trying to move him away from a legit SF by trying to make him something in season he never showed much promise to? I mean have you learned nothing from the Marcus Morris experiment?

OK. I stand corrected. I was just typing the words you used without looking at the stats. You said "tore it up" and then said "productive". Although it was only three games, TWill did tear it up. But would you rather he stayed there longer or on the roster as a DNP-CD most of the season?

Anyone else hoping the Rockets draft a 6'9'' PF with the last name of Chang, in the future?

I'd rather us have a plan for developing 1st round talent and getting them some minutes rather than stashing them in the D-league because we don't have any better option.

True. But if the only options are stay on the bench vs D-League? I'll pick D-League. Though the younger players would benefit from practicing with an NBA team.

Reading comprehension 101. I'm saying the exact same thing you are. The person I quoted listed him as a PF which he obviously is not.

and fwiw, check my posts on Marcus Morris. I've been saying bust since draft day and everyone here kept saying.....too soon, give the guy some time. FFS
