Doing something for altruistic purposes in a free market is stupid. Someone is going to get hurt.
It's what free markets do - bringing the best compromise between a buyer and seller. And when, not if, it becomes unbalanced, something breaks. But you don't intentionally break a working part because you think it will one day break. Again, ignorant.

Texas Bitcoin miners will move when they find cheaper energy. There is massive amounts of stranded energy out there. ( I feel like I've stated this 10x already)

Brother. I guarantee you if there were more blackouts in Texas especially in this heat and miners didn't turn off their sht, there will be riots.

I was listening to NPR just a few days ago and BTC mining was brought up.....and not in a positive light either.

I am going to go out on a limb and say BTC and crypto in general are being "tolerated" by countries and people and the moment this crap gets out of hand, it will be a different landscape.

The bitcoin base layer includes final settlement, Visa does not.

Bitcoin's 2nd layer processes over 10x transactions than VISA does using less energy.

You would know this if you tried to learn anything about the subject.

    You don't say?

I was listening to Dog Radio the other day and cats were brought up....and not in a positive light either.

This video actually covered proof of work and other bitcoin concepts y'all are too ignorant to develop the vocabulary to explain yourselves. It's why you have to link 3,000 view Youtube videos that quotes non-environmental or non-energy experts as a defense of bitcoin and use outdated cherry picked data from 2020 instead of the April 2023 data from the same research group we both cited.

It's weird we are using so much energy on an inefficient product.

LOL.... It's sad how little you know outside of BTC.

It's just one big circle jerk with BTC and Musk fans.... everyone just patting each other on the back and telling each other how important and innovative each other is....

I get paid in Bitcoin. I don't recommend anyone buy anything with it during this early, highly volatile phase. You buy, hold in cold storage, and reap the benefits later when the inevitable happens.
