I still say its fools gold. I know in my heart that this team can and should flow offensively better. Right now, i do like the way they're playing defense and Francis is stepping up which is good. I just wish this team would be more consistent offensively sharing the ball and playing together. It seems like the new guys look for the open guys and passes the ball to them while the guys who have been here still looks as if they don't trust the new players. I'm happy about the record, but the next couple of games will tell alot about this team.

You obviously didn't watch the game and you sound like a broken record. The second half wasn't ugly at all. Almost ever. It was the most impressive we've played. Steve, Juaquin and Eddie were all awesome. Cat and KT were solid on D. And Yao made a lot of his minutes. The team defense was beautiful, turnovers were down, ISO's were down. We were playing as a team. Especially on defense. The fact that Steve took over in the 4th to win the game makes it an "ugly win?" Steve was able to take over in the fourth because Portland knew he wasn't playing selfish and wasn't going to jack up bad shots. If this is the direction our team's heading, I'll take ugly wins all season long.

If you are going to make it to the playoffs, naturally the record of teams you beat will be below .500. You have proved nothing except that you put a total lack of thought into your post.

    hhhmmmm
14 team teams in the lotto. . .we'll say with loosing records
    7 we play 4 times = 28 games
    7 we play 2 times = 14 games
    --------------------------------------
    ------------------------- 42 games

Take us going 50-50 with the rest . . .even 25% of the other games
    11 out of 42
That has us at 53 games. .. . . guess what
    I'LL TAKE THAT!! . . .

I suspect we won't win all 42 games
    but
I also think we will win more than 11 of the rest of the games

We're going to beat teams under .500 so that equates to a .333? We're beating the equivalent of a team that is 27-55 or about as terrible as we were last year. I guess that's pretty great. You're right man, I was so off there or something. We are on the cusp of greatness!!!

13 teams in the lotto, 6 west and 7 east.

    6 x 4 = 24 games
    7 x 2 = 14 games

    38 games

I doubt we're going to win all of those games but you never know we are 4-0 right now!

The best pg in the game averaging about 5 assists?

I say he's one of the best sgs who's forced to play the point 'cuz he's too short.

He's no doubt a special player and keeping improving. He's taken over the game when it counts, but this is only the beginning and not the time for conclusion and declare "victory" - criticism against Steve is valid unless you think his game is perfect. We are probably witnessing greatness in the making, but it's way too early to pretend it's there. It's only 6 games against so so teams .

I just don't get why ppl pretend that Steve's no areas to improve on and play their stupid McCarthysm "hata" labeling games when ppl critisize the weak areas of Steve's game. Or burst into Steveorgasm after a good game against a medicore team. It's as simple as this: SF has holes to fix in his games, ardent fans pointing them out, if SF's getting better at those things, GREAT! If not, I'll keep on b****ing about it. I don't see there's a war going on. Declaring victory is meaningless and idiotic .

At least Steve has only one To this game, that's a great start.

It's pretty ironic that you can make comments about people's over-reaction at our 2-2 record and yet you claim us to be playoff bound after 2 more wins....:D ...I hope your predictions are right though.

Anyway, good win for the Rockets since Portland will be a team battling us for a playoff spot.

Bwahahaha. Yep, all the doubters sure are eating crow now. But I don't want to know what all the perspectiveless polyps are eating.

Look, I'm excited about the win and Stevie's dominance too, but you have to admit your little Steveorgasm (nice one Panda) is premature.

It's not ironic, reasonsf3 and most everybody else on here was predicting the playoffs when we were 0-0, The frustrated Mingfan turned fair weather rockets fans and StevieCat haters formed an evil alliance when it was 2-2 and predicted gloom and chaos, but the silent majority stayed the course.

It looks like Steve is showing signs of playing like a Point Guard. As time goes by he will improve even more. Our under acheiving team will also go on to greater things and fulfill Les Alexanders Dreams. Did everyone notice how well Yao Ming played off the great pass from Francis, more of this please!

The ball movement was alot better. Glad to see that Eddie got off and Ming proved that he has some offensive skill. Hopefully the gaurds will learn to trust them more and to keep them involved.

Eddie is a defensive star. I can agree with that. I still would rather have RJ, because he is better allaround. Of course he wouldn't block Sabonis, cause he would not be guarding him.
