I got a print out of a Yao Ming jersey that is out of stock from NBA.com.

Damn, I can't believe some of the stuff you guys are getting! Looks like several of you got well over $1000 in gifts, yet I can't seem to break the $100 barrier.

Didn't really get anything exciting...I'll explain down below:

Siege of Avalon for PC. (Cheap but somewhat fun RPG game. $20)

    Miniature pool table thing

    New shoes

Some kind of glass colorful boat ornament that I will NOT use. I just gave it to my mom.

And some scratchoff tickets that were not winners.

Main reason why I didn't get much was I never really wanted anything in the first place. I already had a PS2, PC, TV, and Rockets tickets. Can't really get much better...well, it could, but I didn't think I could handle much more seeing as how I can barely use the things I got. My parents practically made me get something, so I just got that cheap RPG. Its fun though, but a LOT of reading.

    WoW! 20" monitor...Im green with envy! :)

Digital cameras seem to be hoppin this year
I got one too, a Olympus D-550, after dealing with that crappy old 35mm camera at the last Rockets game, my wife figgered I needed somethin better for the next one..thanx babe!

and a cool BBQ tool kit to go with my new pit..
    the new Myth book
another Discworld book (woohoo, TPratchett rulez!)
    Minority Report DVD
new 3Doors Down cd (comes with a DVD of stuff from their first album)

Thats about it...enough for me! I thought I did pretty well..

BTW...speaking of 20"+ monitors...if anyone wants one, I know a guy that is selling a 21" fixed frequency Sony Trinitron monitor for under $200 for anyone in envy of DoD's new acquisition..:D

Hope everyone had a safe and happy Christmas.. :)

-Sony MP3/CD player-This was the top item on my list, and I love it, it's been hard going without a cd player since October as mine went out at the OU-UT game.
-FIFA 2003 for PS2-excellent game, I love it, playing a season in MLS right now
-Texas Longhorn throw blanket from my aunt and uncle, total shock, but very cool, and the more UT stuff the better.
-Nice Texans and Short sleeve button down shirts from my uncle
    -$120 from relatives
-New Steering Wheel cover for my car(my old one is falling apart)
-Set of roasting pans/cookie sheets so I can bake in my apartment in Austin
    -some blue jeans
-two nice longhorn shirts, one is a sweatshirt
-$50 gift card to best buy
    -$30 gift card to Bennigans
    -$25 gift card to Quizno's
    -$20 gift card to Blockbuster
    -candy
-a nice big cooking pot, but I will exchange it for a medium sized one(I have the large already)
-a wok(to cook chinese food in), my mom prob will get this for me at a later date
-an awesome knife set(as you can see I like to cook)
-very nice dress clothes(for my work in television, plus a killer suit jacket)

But it wasn't all about getting for me as I like to buy gifts for others:

-For my two best friends, and fellow Longhorns-one a Roy Williams burnt orange jersey, the other a Cory Redding burnt orange one
-For my little sister-Two pairs of UT boxers, that are a size too small(my mom gave me the wrong size), but she can take it back to the co-op and get whatever Longhorn clothes she desires(it's the best UT store around, bar none), plus I gave her a frog I won at the Cotton Bowl during the UT-OU game last year.
-For my Dad-a nice Longhorn blue long sleeve dress shirt, and my mom bought him the 007 DVD set and I gave him that as well
-For my older sister-I think I will purchase Astros tickets
-For my Mom-I got her an umbrella my dad picked out-honestly he did all her shopping

As you can see though, I like gift giving as well as receiving, and Merry Christmas to all.

I always wanted a 20"+ monitor, but those things usually weighed about 60-80 lbs. No way in hell was I going to put that monstrosity on my desk. Then I got an early Christmas present from my parents and lo-and-behold the 20" LCD monitor... all 20 or so lbs of it... and it freed up a ton of room once I replaced my 19" flat screen CRT monitor.

    *drool*

    Geek heaven.

Ill take a pic and send it to ya...or post it here....your choice.

I used the before mentioned 21" Sony for a little while...and like drapg said, It is a monster...dont think it's 75lbs...but pretty close.. I finally retrieved my deskspace back by switching back to a 17"..not as much screen..but I got my workspace back.

considering Im normally about 2 years behind in acquiring technology, I figger I will get a large flat screen by 2005. Unless I snag a good job when I get my degree in about 6 months..
Then all bets are off! :D
