Never go backwards in life. If you leave a place and then try and move back it will be completely different from what you remember and sully your memories. Everyone you know will leave you at some point in your life. You will die, they will or one of you will walk away. Enjoy people for they time they are around and stop worrying that they might leave or breakup with you or whatever. It's going to happen anyway. Time moves faster the older you get. Take advantage of the time moving faster rule and get involved as early as you can in the two things where time passing helps you: education and investments. The concept of marriage is a complete farce and goes against basic human nature. The only reason the divorce rate is not 99% is because the process of divorce is so laborious. If a divorce was a easy as getting married than you would see the same effect as the divorce rate among hollywood couples who have the money not to have to deal with the confrontation. It is better use of your time to use your natural strengths and then try and pump up your weaknesses.
Some of these are repeats of previous posts, but here goes. -You are not as smart as you think you are. Just because you can skate through school without studying/doing due diligence, does not mean you can do the same thing in the "real world" -Depending on what your career aspirations are, grades don't really play a big role after you get out of school. Yes, there are some companies that won't even look at your resume unless you went to an Ivy League school, but those are few and far between. I was nearly nearly valedictorian in high school, and almost failed out of college at one point. Neither one mattered much since I've been out. I now make 6 figures, and I'm in my late 20's. -I thought making 40K/year for a career was my goal getting out of school. Now I dont think even my current salary is cutting it. -Not everyone is as loyal to you, as you are to them -When younger, getting new things/toys were so exciting. Now, since everything is available at a click of a mouse, its kind of lost its luster. -While your parents were not always right, you can see that they were MOST of the time. -Karl Malone is even more of a douche that I could have ever imagined when I was younger.
Malls, movie theaters and amusement parks are way less impressive the older you get. Never get a ground floor apartment in an older, cheaper building. And toilets and bathtubs are more connected than you think.
Cleverly disguised "I'm rich!" post . Short pants don't go together with anything (if you are a man, unless you are practicing sports).
