haven't opened any gifts but i don't really care what they are. my family always gets me something even though i tell them not to. i don't participate in the gift giving on xmas and they are cool with that. that's why i love them. i know it's trite, but i really do feel lucky they are my family.

Mostly, I got the kids a bunch of stuff. I did end up with some winter hiking gear, some candy, and an iPad, which was a combo Christmas/bday gift from Mrs. rimrocker.
Christmas at my house is for the kids since my wife and I pretty much buy whatever I want during the year. I do get a few gifts from in laws though. This year I got a foodsaver. I'm vacuum sealing everything in sight. LOL.
A nice necktie, and another one of Henry Kissinger's works. Christmas is for my younger sister, really, and I got them Portal 2.
Wife - Ipad 2, Jewelry Me - Shirts, Bose noise cancelling head phones. our boys - too danged much stuff...lol....games, toys, robots.....ridiculous.....but seeing their faces...priceless. Every year in November we go through their stuff and donate a ton of it to goodwill, so that it can get on the shelf by Christmas for others, both of our parents are divorced so there are 8 grandparents, my kiddos get spoiled.....and many toys go unopened, so those get donated. Christmas has been great so far, no bring on the Rockets ! DD

Another opportunity to be unwillingly separated from loved ones. In the past 25 years, I've spent 4 Christmas's with my family. It makes me cherish those that I can spend with them and ANY time I can spend with them. I took that for granted as a young person. Never again. THAT'S the gift I receive.
