remember that stretch of ridiculous turnovers on easy fast breaks i mean comeone the team played badly when it had its chances and the rim blocked yao 2 times. His confidence was shaken but i liked what tmac brought to the table.

yao did bad but i blame rafer 100 percent my god his shooting "touch" is long gone. well he never could really shoot. if your a shooter you should never shoot a shot so badly that it banks in. Rafer was left wide open the whole game again, im happy he stopped shooting in the third and fourth but that just brought rondo over to help on yao since rafer can't shoot

It's like he swapped bodies with Kwame Brown.

you have never seen a more lackluster performance??? How about the first game of the season? Yao has been nonchalant since day 1. Repeatedly letting rebounds get away. This loss is good for the rockets and a wake-up call for the over-zealous fans. This team still hasn't won a playoff series in over 10 years. The championship talk is just ridiculous at this point.

It is alright to lose. Just Yao had a poor showup that was probably the worst in his NBA career. He played some poor games in his rookie year, but he did not have so many touches to hurt the team big time. I think the reason is the gap between Yao's skill set and the style of team play. He did play well in Dallas but that team barely play any defense.

Ever since YAO was down last season, the team was playing a different game. A style of more spontaneous plays, and of faster pace. It's no doubt RA's style, but apparently Yao will struggle in such a system.

Yao is more used to the half court set plays, knowing where the ball is coming from and what will happen next. As the biggest player in the league, and being especially non-athletic, even with a high bball IQ, Yao is not a good fit to the style the Rox is playing.

To use Yao's offense, Rox must have some half court set plays called for Yao, like the double pick in the old JVG system. Otherwise, Yao's shot should be redistributed to other players. To watch him struggle with nonames of the league is really frustrating. With the current offensive system, he is going to struggle more. You can almost bet on others to outrebound him. If he lost the offensive game, then his game is plain ugly.

There is no doubt that Yao is very valuable for the team to win it all. When Rox is playing San Antonio, Cleveland, and LA lakers, Yao will be money on both end of the floor. But right now, the coaching staff really need to figure out how to use Yao. It was obvious Tracy was very frustrated by Yao in the 4th; he stopped passing him the ball even when Yao was open. It would have been a turnover, as almost every pass to Yao resulted in a turnover in the 4th.

It is one of the worst games Yao ever played in his NBA career.

You mean, as opposed to those pinnacles of athletic big men Arvydis Sabonis, Vlade Divac, and Brad Miller?

Yao faces pressure from both the opponents and himself.
He seems to drag the whole team down.

I think Yao should play more confidently.Last night yao lost his confidence after several mistakes in 2nd quater.I think this is the problem.

good thing you brought these men up. Arvydis and Vlade are way more accomplished than Yao at this point in his career. They were perhaps the best shooting and passing big men of all time. They instantly made teammates better. What has Yao accomplished from a team perspective? Nothing much.
