What did Thorton do to be in JB's doghouse? (Rumors edition)

if thornton doesn't play back at home in louisana tomorrow nite, then we know something is really up behind the scenes

 

But why? This team would have a shiiit bench without him. He's a starting 2 on any other team.

 

the issue is that the guy playing in front of him (brewer) is not 99%, maybe not even 79% better than all bball players on the planet

 

JB wouldn't give him any cereal today so he crapped on the floor.

Baffles me honestly. We are reaching the hardest part of the schedule and Brewer is literally throwing away possessions with unnecessary turnovers crap. If JB continues shaking up the rotations I'm gonna start to want him fired. Marcus Thornton has one of our most consistent players

 

I don't have an explanation, but my best guess is that JB is trying to give Lawson some confidence as part of the rotation, and is giving him Thornton' minutes to do so.

What I don't get is why Brewer and Terry are taking minutes from Thornton.

Could Thornton be yelling or getting in guys face in practice?

You don't need to wait for that. Something has been up. Brewer is JB's boy. They go back to Minnesota days. That's who's blocking Thornton and K.J. At the moment. Terry and Ty are not leaving the rotation without a trade.

 

Should care. Thorton would have helped open up a nice little lead with a couple of timely 3's. Also, where is Dmo and why the HELL are they still playing Brewer?

 

The real question is what the hell is brewer doing to keep getting minutes. Cause it sure isn't because of how he's playing on the court. Not sure thorton can replace brewer in the rotation, but he should b getting some of those minutes.

 

Because JB has a secret love affair with Brewer and will not limit his minutes despite Brewer's horrific play.

 

Whatever it is it's painfully obvious JB has no clue who he's gonna play from night to night. Eventually guys are gonna get frustrated. If I'm Marcus Thornton I'm PISSED. You outplay everybody but have someone in front of you who keep screwing up smh

Terry has a perfect game scoring 12. I don't think we win without him. Lawson has a good game. And JBB never went small, because Kawhi is a SF, and logged 40 minutes

How do you find time for 5 guards in this game?

 

Morey is just trying to keep him under the radar until some trades are done... there are a few other guys Morey would rather deal as 'throw ins' (ie Brewer..) while limiting the appeal of thornton...

or JB is just an idiot...

If Morrow can get playing time in OKC abd Lamb in CHA then surely Thornton can. I think the relationship going back to Minnesota makes a lot of sense!! Too bad we need Morey to force a coach his hands again..seriously though, how come players never sub themselves?? I would not want to play if I knew I was hurting my team like this!

 

If Morey's really "showcasing" players playing horrible at the expense of regular season games then we need another GM

 

Maybe Thornton looks more Asian than we thought. Good scorer, has mental lapses at times, clearly more talented than guys playing ahead of him, buried on the bench for "bad defense" when in reality his defense isn't any worse than 90% of the roster. All the guy needs is clutch to make a thread about how its clear the numbers support Brewer as the better player and we will have found our newest scapegoat for all things wrong with this team

 

Jeremy Lin was a terrible defender on the Rockets. He did not when to properly switch and never fought through screens.
