Did the transcript indicate that intent? Did Joe mince his words? The senate just acquitted one of the two.
Biden, working with other nations wanted Shokin out because he was NOT investigating corruption including not taking active steps against Burmisa. So how is is corruption on Biden's part here to try to remove someone for NOT investigating Burmisa? Shokin completely dumped the investigation and protected Burmisa - and yet you are trying to spin it the other way around and protect Shokin?
If you want to believe that biden was pushing for a burisma investigation, then I understand your stance. We disagree.
And they could with hiring him. I wasn't making a point on optics. I get the potential conflict of interest and it’s a good idea that all potential conflict should be avoided. With that said, anyone that look at the current facts and are honest know that Biden was pushing for removal of a prosecutor because he wasn’t doing his job to crack down corruption - a position that was official and publicly known to US and other nation. Turning that around to said he was corrupt is nothing more than a political hit and an excuse to fish for something... for anything that can stick or be twisted further.
He was pushing for the removal of a corrupt man - a man who was protecting Burisma but that wasn't the reason they were trying to get him fired, it was mainly for other corruption. This wasn't just Biden but France and Germany as well.
Dude just stop. How many Republicans just said what Trump did was wrong? Why didn't the Congress who was totally controlled by Republicans not think what Biden did was wrong? Why is the Senate right now not investigating, if what he did was criminal?
And that means something how? Why didn't the Republican congress investigate him? Why are they not investigating him now?
Why depend on beliefs when you can just go with the truth? https://www.rferl.org/a/why-was-ukraine-top-prosecutor-fired-viktor-shokin/30181445.html
Shokin testified differently and why would joe want his son's payday company investigated? I haven't studied it but I would say it isnt as open and shut as you think.
Shokin had put the Burisma investigation on ice long before Biden even entered the picture. Bottom line Shokin was immensely corrupt. Joe wasn't worried about his son because he was never a target of any investigation nor had Hunter done anything wrong - his accepting a job is not corruption.
The prosecutor that everyone agrees is corrupt testified that he wasn't, in fact, corrupt? I'm shocked! Also shocking. Just a suggestion - maybe try learning something about the subjects you discuss instead of just finding internet sources an quoting them. It might help make you at least slightly educated.
And this differentiates him from Democratic politicians...how? This is also precisely the condescending attitude towards his supporters that swept him to election, so by all means, do continue!
thanks for pointing that out, didn't realize author was the same guy who wrote 'Clinton Cash' -- i do find it amazing that as soon as they were out of office the clinton foundation promptly closed up shop, b/c there was no longer any influence to sell anyways, which assertions in this article do you disagree with?
