I could do all of those things. The hardest though would be to get a hit in a MLB game. I'd need to likely sit on a change-up or hanging curve.
Come on. You know those NFL 'backers can sniff out those screen passes faster than a drug sniffing dog can pick out Ricky Williams suitcase at the airport. You might catch it, but, taking a knee or not, you'll be in traction for a month.
lalala In college I could make a positive yardage catch. But of course, you'll going to tell me it is impossible. lalala
ok, you guys are right. There is no freaking way I could ever catch an NFL pass for positive yardage ... not even in my best years of athleticism. you're right.
i didn't. I meant to say in my best athleticism in my college years I could make a positive yardage catch in the NFL. maybe not now, though. but you've convinced me now. It's impossible for anyone who didn't play college ball or better to make a catch in the NFL. cant' be done.
Catch an NFL pass. Then get sent to the hospital. Rest assured there are no "wide open" shots in the NBA, especially when you're the typical 5'10" male. That crap would get sent into the 10th row every time.
if I pump faked every time I got the ball in the NBA, I'd make some shots. Or have a 300 lb 7 ft guy land on me and snap me in half.
Of all the pro sports, the most likely thing I could do would be catch a winning fish in a fishing tournament.
I played a sandlot football game (actually several over the course of a winter) against a guy who played at McNeese State and eventually signed with a couple of different NFL scout teams. I played running back, he played linebacker. I caught two passes in front of him. He lit me up on both of them, but I held onto the ball. I'm voting for that one, unless Woody Williams is pitching.
I voted hit, because it's the thing you have the most control over... and after about 100 or so ABs and weeks of batting practice, the odds are you'd eventually get lucky with timing and placement of swing. If you're the average joe, as soon as you catch the basketball, they'd be all over you trying to either strip it, make you make a bad pass, or block your shot. Those guys are too long and quick for most of us... it's compounded for me because I'm a 6'1" post player who can't dribble or jump. I wouldn't have a chance. On football, if you studied the DBs technique and ran a read route where as soon as you turned the QB had the ball there, you might be able to catch a pass. The real question on this one though, is: if you got lucky and caught one, would you be able to catch the second knowing you were about to get pounded again?
Other: I could score a goal in the MLS. And now for the "soccer sucks...MLS sucks...anyone could do that...general soccer bashing" posts.
