I think Dorsey makes it even easier to part with Landry or even Scola for Mike Miller.

And shucks, I bet Landry could become a 60% 3-pt shooter easy if he worked at it!

Chuck Hayes will be traded in package with Head + Novak ... I hope we can exchange something decent for that!

and then you'd take away from the strongest asset of his game, which is his interior game (getting us rebounds and scoring inside for us)...you don't want carl to get comfortable playing outside, if that's the situation then you take away everything that made him so great to us in the first place. Only a few big bangers that shoot threes exist, such as Sheed, and god knows, sheed is infinitely better than carl landry

I'm still confused as to why people are so quick to want to trade him. There's a reason why teams are high on him and there's also a reason why Morey declared that he would match any offer. The guy is a freak of a beast. Landry's a keeper. I'd take him over Arthur and Dorsey combined.

That said, I don't think he should be untouchable. But it seems some people really undervalue him (Hinrich? Really?). Maybe I overvalue him, but the only way I'd part with him is if we get a star in return. I'm talking Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett star. Obviously it wouldn't be a one for one swap, put him in a package with Battier possibly. There's way too much potential here to trade away for someone like Hinrich or a nutcase like Artest.

As for the 3pt shot, sure. Let's make Yao a 40% 3pt shooter while we're at it. I mean, he can knock down that 15 footer pretty consistently.

I thought we we're gonna be converting Landry to an all start PG and SF combo to shore up and upgrade the rest of our holes. I don't want another guy waiting for the ball behind the 3 point line to take a low percentage shot. Landry will be attcking the lane slashing by his man from the line to draw fouls on the nights T-mac settles for jumpers. Not to mention he's developed a Pick n' Roll with everyone that can only be compared to Stockton and Malone. I hear he's also grown 3 inches and is now a full sized PF. It's a good thing the guy is restricted and can only make the MLE after all the other teams hear and see what he can do now!

Should be an All Star, League MVP, Defensive 1st team, etc.

That could at best net us a 2nd round pick in the range of 50-60 if we don't have to take junk back for their salaries. I'd do it in a heartbeat. But what other team would take them? If we jacked up their salaries 10X the Knicks would be all over that deal! :D

The Rockets management may already know that Landry is one knee-bump from being out of the NBA and that he just doesn't have the tools to become a SF on the NBA level.
