What could be the reason why my internet keeps cutting off?

    I used to have the same problem about a month ago.
    I went into Comcast office and traded in the old modem for a new one. Problem disappeared.

    Call U-Verse. Ask them "What do I get for not having service that day?"... and they'll refund you at least the daily pay for it. :cool:

    It's was cutting off mine, too. I got $15 back for those days in my next bill.

    I believe Comcast issues their modems on lease from what I remember and you can just ask them to send you another one because it does sound like a issue with your modem. I have ATT for few years now never had a issue, not one.

    You can't "optimize" an internet connection. :eek:

    Sure, buy new cabling or faster network cards, but it's only as fast as the speed at which your house can connect.

    You're probably talking about processing and memory.
