i'll try to avoid long and heated! i think that's probably a good practice.... didn't you see Indiana Jones??? people died messing with that thing!!! back away!!! slowly back away!!! honestly, i have no clue what you'd find. i have no clue what God would choose to reveal about Himself if we were to find the ark of the covenant today. of course, there would be a cry from people like me that it further proves the stories of the Bible...casts more reliability on them...and then the other side would argue that it's just a relic...that it's probably not real...that it's probably not THE ark, but some replication of it, etc. it's been like that for centuries now.
The story of the Ark is one of those classic bible stories, that more than likely is based on a true event, and was enhanced as all stories are over the centuries. It is cool that they built one recently with instructions from the bible and it was able to store electricity like a capacitor, amazing ancient technology. Btw- You know Phobos is a Moon around Mars not a space god or a Raelian Clonaid representive right?
Tunguska impact For a trained eye, evidence of the blast is not difficult to identify, even after 90 years. The power of the blast felled trees outward in a radial pattern over an area of 2,150 square kilometers. Some have suggested it was a black hole. Others have wondered if it was a piece of anti-matter. A Japanese UFO group (Sakura), headed by Kozo Kowai, are convinced that it was the explosion of the nuclear power plant of an errant space vehicle belonging to extraterrestrials. Today most scientists point to a comet or a stony asteroid being the cosmic culprit. There have been a series of interesting biological consequences of the explosion. Following the blast there was accelerated growth of biomass in the region of the epicenter, and the accelerated growth has continued. There also was an increase in the rate of biological mutations, not only within the epicenter but along the trajectory of the object over Tunguska. For example, abnormalities in the Rh blood factor of local Evenk groups have been found. Genetic variation in certain local ant species is now being studied. And genetic abnormalities in the seeds and needle clusters of at least one species of pine have been discovered.If the object was an asteroid, where's the crater and large asteroid fragments? It has been suggested that part of the asteroid might have been pulverized on exploding while a portion remaining intact skipped off in a new direction and back out of the atmosphere. To complicate matters, investigators of the 1960s identified four smaller epicenters within the larger one of a 60-kilometer diameter. Each of the smaller epicenters has its own radial tree-fall pattern, and each presumably was caused by individual explosions during the chain of bursts. A number of scientists favor a comet theory. It was loaded on a large flatbed truck and was the size of a house. Much larger than your average satellite. It was guarded by automatic weapon toting marines on the top and round about, and had Department of Justice (DOJ) guards in those black windowed Suburbans, plus who knows how many cops on motorbikes and in squad cars. I became convinced that many of those old captains were as sure where they were on their sea paths as we are on our land paths. The ocean is home to them and they develop a feel that is hard for us to comprehend. We were out of sight of land all afternoon, all night and into the next morning. I became a little concerned and asked the captain if he knew for sure where we were. He looked at me rather quizzically and then gazed at the shape of the sun through the heavy clouds for some time, felt the wind as he moved his head slowly back and forth, then put one hand in the water while holding the rudder with the other hand. After several minutes, he withdrew his hand from the water, pointed partway across the sky and announced, "When the sun is there, the island of Lofanga will appear there." His statement was strictly factual and nonemotional, and when he saw I accepted his word, he went back to concentrating on moving the sail and the rudder just so, feeling the currents, and intently watching the sky. Several hours passed, but when the outline of the sun was right where he had pointed, the mists and shrouds seemed to lift and, almost like magic, the islands of Lofanga "na'e kite mai" (appeared). It was as though it materialized out of nowhere to fulfill his words. I looked at the island and then looked at the old captain. He just smiled and nodded and continued concentrating on the sky, wind and current. I marveled and thought, "We spend years going to school, getting an education in astronomy, weather forecasting, navigational engineering, or electronic maneuvering of various kinds, and then we say we know something. Yet encapsulated in this old man is more knowledge of celestial navigation than all the degrees the world can give." I realized that his eyes, his hands, his face to the wind, his sense of sight, sound, smell, and temperature were so refined that he knew exactly where we were and exactly how to set the sail, use the wind, and move the rudder to get us safely to our destination. We arrived home that evening and I thanked the captain for the safe journey. I asked how he knew where we were. He talked of the warmth and strength of the currents, of sun and moon and stars, of the feel of the wind and waves, but basically said, "I just knew." He couldn't really explain it to me, or maybe he knew I couldn't understand. I was glad I had "my captain" to take me over the sea paths of "my ocean." I thought of how we honor our great scientists and engineers and mathematicians for their intelligence and understanding, yet that old man who had no degrees was more knowledgeable about currents and directions at sea than anyone I have ever known. None that I know personally will show me. This includes my own grandfather. Anyway, the story is that our founding fathers were all freemasons and our currency has many images that are masonic. The thing that I find fruity in the story is - Why would it benefit George Washington to form an evil New World order when he just fought his ass off to gain liberation from the Brits? And in this generations, why would the supposed money loving Bush Sr and Bush Jr want a 'New World Order' when all they are interested in is protecting America's economic interests and more importantly their own.
