Shania Twain in Las Vegas at Planet Hollywood back in June. Just happened to be walking thru the casino and Miracle Mile and impulse bought a ticket. A solid 90 minute nostalgia trip to 1999ish
FYI breh https://www.billboard.com/pro/u2-msg-sphere-las-vegas/ U2 to Perform First Concerts at MSG Sphere in Las Vegas The performances will be the first dates of a multi-show residency by the band at the high-tech arena, which is slated to open in 2023.
Haven’t been to a concert so long…. Got lucky when I visited family and friends in Houston and was able to score some $45 Black Keys tickets at the Woodlands. Pretty good concert.
I swear going to a Flaming Lips show is like 2 hours of therapy. So much love. And confetti. And lights.
I saw Nine Inch Nails at Planet Hollywood in Vegas last month. Awesome show, only a meh setlist though. We saw Sigur Ros in Chicago in the summer. It was so good we flew to Brooklyn to see them again the next week.
The Freaky Deaky festival Saturday was transcendent. I guess I've never really been to a full-day EDM festival and man, it's like nothing I've ever done. The crowd was super relaxed, happy and friendly, zero fights and the few dbag types I saw sort of keep to themselves. I guess for $100+ tickets you weed out a lot of riff-raff. Up close to the stage the sound and lights themselves were living things. I wore a Johnny Lawrence (Cobra Kai) costume and got lots of love. People in their 20's calling me Sensei Lawrence and telling me all about how the show changed their lives was a response I wasn't anticipating. Such an amazing experience. I'll do it again...but not anytime soon. I must have jumped a million times and calves are killing me.
Not a big concert year so far, but it will end on a strong note. Bret McKenzie (Flight of the Conchords) The Charlatans Dua Lipa (Thursday) Billy Joel (Dec. 3rd) Khruangbin (Dec. 6th) Pixies (Dec. 15th)
I love that guy. I have seen a bunch of Malkmus and the Jicks shows. I think they are just as good as Pavement (and I love them, too).
That's quite the smorgasboard. I was intrigued that the Charlatans actually still tour the USA, then I cross-referenced your other dates and realized you aren't in the USA.
No, Auckland doesn't have the best concert traffic. We see what comes, usually, and they often appear in bunches.
I'm taking my kids to see their favorite band....wait for it.....Ice Nine Kills. What can I say, it was their birthday present and they really wanted to go. They are 11-year old metal-heads. Am I a bad parent? I mean, we will be sitting in the balcony far far away from the mosh pit.
oh fo sho. Think tix got cheaper on that day they preformed,if $100 is considered cheap these days for concerts lol.
$100 is cheap. I was looking at floor tickets (close to stage). Not a fan at all, but it looked fun. Until I looked at the prices.
Finally took my boys to the TRINITY OF TERROR tour on Tuesday night at Bayou Place. I hate to admit it but.....Ice Nine Kills was a damn good show. I may actually be a fan now. Black Veil Brides was pretty good too. We left early and didn't see Motionless in White. #PastMyBedtime My boys are already asking when Slipknot is coming to town.
