I've seen all those guys (except for the Zac dude), and to be honest, I'm not really a fan of any of them, all on because of my ****ty bartending job. The Counting Crows played with Zwan too, a disappointing night. Made me feel very old. I'm going to see Steely Dan at the United Center on 8/8/03, the 15th anniversary of Wrigley Field getting its lights. I've seen (not worked, not paid for, but I still didn't work the shows) Dave Edmunds, Joe Jackson, Al Green, and Link Wray over the last two months; so I'm a happy boy. SD is just the icing on the cake.
Anyone goin to KRBE Earth Day at Eleanor Tinsley Park? Bowling For Soup Jewel Lisa Marie Presley Lucy Woodward Michelle Branch Simple Plan $13 and none goes to the Dixie Biatches! I don't know if I will go cause I'm so freakin lazy
Yo Vengeance, I was at Bonnaroo last year and it was absolutely amazing! I can't make it out this year because I'm moving to the East Coast this summer and can't afford another big trip...
I wish I could've made it last year, but although I'd read about it, I pretty much forgot about it until I noticed the first 2-cd set in the store. Damn, I wish I'd have been there. This year's looks even better than last year's!!! This upcoming Sunday, New Monsoon is going to be at the Last Concert Cafe. I'm definitely not missing that. What really sucks is that Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, one of my top five favorite bands is in Dallas on May 1st. I'm going to Dallas on the 2nd, and I can't go a day early because I have to work. This sucks SOOOOO much!!!
I will so be there!! On a side note when I found out they were coming to the area I went online to see the price of tickets. While looking I found out that Jars of Clay(one of my favorite groups) was going to be in Beaumont. My wife went today at lunch and got tickets. Front Row Center!!!
August 2nd. Tickets aren't on sale. They will be at the Reliant Arena. 2 shows 10a.m. and 2 p.m. Tix are on sale Friday I think.
you are the man!!! thank you!!! i missed them at 2nd Baptist...I understand they did a fully acoustic show there...that would have been amazing.
I'm going to see Cirque Du Soleil in Austin on May 9th. I was debating going to see Ozzfest, but the venues suck this year. It's stupid to do a bigass metal fest in a Woodlands Pavillion type setting. Fairgrounds or some other venue that has a large amount of standing room in front of the stage is what you want.
Well, i've spent the past few days compiling my concert schedule, and I've got a pretty good lineup here. Hopefully I can make all or almost all of them: April 27 - New Monsoon - Houston April 30 - Ben Harper - Austin (maybe) May 4 - Ween - Houston May 10 - Ratdog - Houston May 16 - Patrice Pike and the Blackbox Rebellion - Houston May 17 - The Gourds - Houston May 24 - Nickel Creek - Houston June 3 - Patrice Pike Acoustic - Houston June 9 - Greg Howard - Lawrence, KS (maybe) June 10 - Ben Harper - Kansas City (maybe) June 16 - Eagles - Houston June 17 - Eagles - Houston July 12 - DMB - Bonner Springs, KS July 15 - DMB - OK City -- or -- July 15 - Keb Mo - Houston July 16 - DMB - Houston July 18 - DMB - Dallas July 19 - DMB - San Antonio August 6 - Neil Young - Houston August 10 - Lollapalooza (J5 and Audioslave are who I want to see) - Houston I don't know if I will make all of them, but if I can get 2/3, then add the concerts that haven't been announced yet or the ones I haven't looked up, and I'd say it'll be a great summer
Dang you must really like DMB. There good but why would you want to see them that many times. You could use the money and go on a real vacation or something.
I couldn't imagine a better vacation than going to see DMB If I had enough money to where I didn't have to worry about it, I'd go follow the band and hit every show. Besides, I have family in KS and OK, friends in SA and Dallas, the only thing that costs me are the tickets and driving . . .
No **** man. If I ever win the lottery, I've always said the first thing I'd buy is a Winnebago and follow them around for at least one tour.
I guess I am not going to the Wiggles. We tried to get tickets and 15 minutes after they went on sale they were down to only having selected single seats left. That totally stinks. My wife said they were opening up a show on Friday night but she doesn't want to go on Friday night . My wife just called and said when she go tthere the 10 am show was sold out and the ticketmaster people told her there were scores of people camped out. Now that would be hilarious to hear someone say " Dude, I camped out for Wiggles tickets"
That's how I feel about moe./Phish.. I like DMB but I've never seen him. I think its the $50 tickets that are holding me back... I have a bunch of friends from Virginia that used to love him but have lost interest since he's become so commercially successful. I should probably see him when I have the chance, but so far he has had to take a back seat each summer when moe. or Phish or even Radiohead come through..
