Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, not even in the top 24! Even though I love all of these cities, they probably factored in weather more than alot of other things, and I said I can take a cold winter better than I can take a hot summer. I also said I hated humidity. ------------------ Never Underestimate the Heart of a Champion

1. Houston!!!!! (Woo hoo! Clutch City, Texas!) 2. Bradenton, FL (never heard of it. Says it's the home of Tropicana Orange Juice) 3. Daytona Beach, FL (not bad, but haven't seen past the tourist part) 4. El Paso, TX (OK but too far from the coast or my family) 5. Augusta, GA (I know nothing about it) 6. Memphis, TN (I grew up there, and complained about it for all but the last few years. My parents will think this is funny.) 7. Corpus Christi, TX (where I dream of living, second to Houston) 8. Gainesville, FL (wow, my birthplace made it too!) 9. Orlando, FL (don't think so, too commercialized) 10. Galveston, TX (I'd take that in a minute!) 11. Hattiesburg, MS (don't think so; remind me to tell you the inbreeding story) 12. Jackson, MS (I have family there... OK but a little too "Old South" for me) 13. Jacksonville, FL (sounds OK but a friend hated it) 14. Port Arthur, TX (kind of small?) 15. St. Petersburg, FL (I liked it when I saw it, a while back) 16. McAllen, TX (the Valley is kind of hot, but cheap) 17. Biloxi/Gulfport, MS (that's an ugly beach) 18. Savannah, GA (don't know much about it) 19. Brownsville, TX (see McAllen) 20. Louisville, KY (never been there) I must be a beach bum. Most of the cities I've known and loved made the list, except for Huntsville, AL. Don't know why it's not there. And you will see NO Austin in there anywhere. ------------------ Isabel,clutchcity.net lurker since 1996 All your base are belong to Heypartner.

Just having fun here. mrpaige do you work in Arlington? ------------------ A HOUSTONIAN lost in dallas
Since they separated Dallas and Fort Worth (which the counts of the MSA don't do) it made the Dallas number smaller than the official MSA population. I'm not sure they included Galveston as part of Houston, either (even though Galveston is part of the Houston MSA). And since I am self-employed, I do work in Arlington - out of my home. ------------------ Houston Sports Board Film Dallas.com AntiBud.com
