    I have aim and am starting to hate it. Anyone know how I can clean AIM up by getting rid of the banner on top or make any other alterations? Or any suggestions on other programs that can incorporate AIM sns (as most ppl i know only use aim).

    You could always download something like Trillian where you can combine all of the messengers. BTW....What are the best programs out there to combine messengers?

    Used to use ICQ, but I don't bother with that anymore. Nowadays, it's MSN all the way!

    I use MSN, but I just downloaded AIM in order to talk to this chick I'm after....she only has AIM.

    And let me say this, AIM is CRAP! What's with the ad at the top, and the ugly layout. IMO, MSN is soooooo much better than AIM.

    I use AIM, have tried others such as Trillian and ICQ but I actually like AIM over both....might be the minority here though

    I went to www.oldversion.com and got version 5.23292 of AIM (much older)....

    I use that in conjunction with DeadAIM...

    And I'm pretty happy, I have no ads or extra crap on my AIM, just my Buddy List and the few buttons that I want to show up on my Buddy List.

    (BTW: if you know where to look you can just get the latest version of DeadAIM from the official page, 4.5 and get a crack to unlock it, that version has more features I believe -- you can always IM me, if ya need help with that part, my moniker is the same as my screen name...)

    yeah man the old version is definitely the way to go. the new AIM is all jacked up with ads and stupid icons

    Trillian is the best. It's one client that connects to all the standard networks (AIM, MSN, Yahoo, ICQ, etc)

    If you want to use an honest, free alternative to Trillian, try Gaim.

    How could anyone in college use MSN? I don't know ONE PERSON who has that, or doesn't use AIM.

    Thats because you use AIM...

    If you get on MSN, youll find millions of people that DONT use AIM...

    Plus if you know people in other countries, your bound to get stuck using MSN, yahoo, and aim....

    aim sucks tho... msn and yahoo clown it...

    Trillian. The best. I don't like the default skin much, though. Try tiny cordillera or one of the other cordillera skins.
