Do tapes count? I'm pretty confident about my CD collection but some of the tapes from my pre-teen years . . .

    Europe - The Final Countdown
Bon Jovi - Slippery When Wet
    Top Gun Soundtrack
Rocky IV Soundtrack (incidentally, did anyone know that the singer of Survivor is the the singer in those Budweiser "Real Men of Genius" ads).

My least favorite CDs aren't embarassing, but they're usually kind of boring and lame (2nd Portishead album, Tricky's 4th album, Yankee Foxtrot Hotel by Wilco).

I dont hide any of mine fom anyone....all my friends know I have eclectic tastes.

the one CD that I dont admit to owning, but will for this:

    Shania Twain's first album

I do also have several mix cds with various cheesy 70's am radio songs on them.

Anyone who has to hide any of his or her CDs or LPs when friends come over is an absolute 100% loser!

I hide no CD's. I know my musical taste is flawless, so any person who makes fun of any CD I own will only be making a fool of themself.

But, if I had to choose...I'd say my Madonna and Pet Shop Boys CDs. Also, Magnetic Files' 69 Love Songs.

My wife used to put my old hard rock/heavy metal CD's WAY up on the highest shelf where only I could reach them and no one would see them. :)

I'm not really embarrassed by CD's, though. When you are a musician, you can almost justify ANY CD's purchase for the band, the individual players, the production quality, etc.

Oh, and say what you want about Justin Timberlake but I've seen that guy twice now on live TV shows and he is seriously talented and his band is absolutely RIDICULOUS.

i've thought the same thing..but it makes me feel much better to see you said it first! :)

i've been wondering if i could get away with buying this cd. of course, i'd have to do it online so i don't have to carry it to the checkout counter. the horror!!!!

Was he really singing? I've heard he's basically just a pre-pedophile Michael Jackson clone.

As far as the band, that's not uncommon. I remember seeing the band for Madonna's movie Truth or Dare and they were amazing! I also just read that Omar Hakim played drums on both of J-Ho's "albums".

Yeah, he was really singing. A buddy of mine who is a VERY talented musician, and someone I really respect when it comes to his opinion on music, said the same thing about Timberlake.

Madonna routinely had great players. Her rhythm section in the early 90's was Omar Hakim and Victor Baily. Yeaowch!

    "Watch yo Screw"

    DJ Screw.

I thought this thread was going to be about hiding CDs because you don't want your friends to accidently walk off with them.
