I'm in the same boat. Really kind of need a smaller SUV with decent gas mileage. I also really like the Flex and the new Explorers but don't want to spend that much. Reading up, I see lots of good things about the Equinox, RAV4, Terrain and Tucson. I also really like the Escape body style for some reason (though I know they are getting the redesign). I wanted to stay close to (or far under) 20K so I was thinking used, though I read too that used cars are at an all time high right now so...yeah.
Like I said in the other thread, you can get an Accord EX Coupe with free factory tint and free oil change for life for $21,000. Why would anyone on a budget choose any other car?
the Ford Fusion has actually been a really good car. I had it for a week as a rental..it drives great and the reliability is very good according to consumer reports and jd power. i have at one point owned/still own: 2 nissan altima (97/10) 2 toyota camry (00 / 05) 1 honda pilot 04 1 acura mdx 10
