My 2003 Jeep Liberty just got hit. Waiting on a damage report...managed to turn the back wheels completely out of alignment, smash the rear headlights, and just bust up the back left side of the car.
I think my neighbor has that model Mercedes. They love it. They imported it and saved a ton. I used to drive a 328i. Main things I've noticed: 1. THe G35 drives great and is a fantastic value, but nothing drives like a BMW. Its hard to explain, but the car almost drives itself and when you're ready to take over, you have 100% control; 2. The body is stronger and paint/wax much better on the BMW (dirt seemed to roll off it for the 3 years I had it); 3. The 35's nav unit is awesome, and you get the entire country and Canada on the DVD, as opposed to one 'region' on the BMW cd (as of last year); 4, The 35 4dr had load more leg room in front and back and the trunk over the 3-series or even the 5-series (which really only has more width and trunk room than the 3 )...but if your'e looking at the coupe, I guess that's not much of an issue for you; 5. I've had the car for 7 months; only trip to the dealer was for the plates. I also negotiated for them to p/u my car and drop off a loaner when it needs warranty service or oil changes ; 6. BMW service was excellent, but I didn't have to use that for anything other than maintenance over 3 years; 7. I miss the auto-wipers on the beemer, but I couldn't believe that my loaded beemer didn't have auto-lights (maybe they do now?); 8. The 35's 6-CD in-dash is much nicer than the trunk changer, but even with the premium sound in the 35, the acoustics fall short of the BMW; 9. As good as the handling is on the 35, the BMW is more sure-footed; 10. The interior of the 35 falls short of the BMW and esp. the Benz. All-round, everything on the BMW is over-engineered (they're awesome). It's hard to find anything 'annoying' about a BMW. It's just...solid, but you pay a premium for it. The 35 takes the title on comfort and accessories (mostly). The G35 is fun. It would be hard to give up the comfort, but I miss the BMW ride.
I owned Bemers too 535, 320i and 325sc. The MB though not as sassy is the best handling car I have ever had.
WHAT! An unproven car in it's first year of production is better QUALITY than the Benz? It may be better looking, may have more bells and whistles but you've got about a fifty more years of proving to do before you sell me on the glorified Datsun.
I only test drove a 6 speed fully loaded G35 Sport Coupe one time and it was brief. It has a great handle, amazing breaks and has the ability to feel smooth and comfortable as well as if you are racing. Its basically between the 530i Sport and the G35 6-Speed Coupe for this car and i'm still undecided. I don't particularly like the Interior styling on the G35's though, its a little to modern with the aluminum look. The gaitling gun lights on the front and the styling from the outside are amazing though. I like the BMW from the Inside, but the 5 series is also changing in 2004 so it will be the last year of the old model. I only plan on keeping this car three years though. I saw a nice 2002 5-series with the sport package and the BMW warranty (w/ 10k miles) of 6yr /100K for certified Pre-owned. The price is pretty much a wash as well. The BMW is classier looking, but the G35 SC screams fun. Hmm...mature or a kiddier wilder, funner car??
I count three Mustangs and only 2 Camaro's.......going to have to even things out here. Heres a picture of My baby. I checked out the New 350's as a possible future replacement, but wasn't too impressed. Now Im going to wait and see what the RX-8 offers, and yes even the new Mustang GT's. At that kind of power, how can I not at least look.
Sure. A fade style, almost military style cut. Slightly longer on top and pulled foward and almost always gelled. Finger combed. A shading of sideburns that accent the length of the fade. My hair color is black, and overall a pretty good style I think. If your insinuating as to weather or not I own a mullett. Im asian, 28 and dont live in the country. How many asians you see sporting a mullett? PSSST. That is NOT a mullet mobile. Mind describing your car.
I was planning on buying the G35 coupe until a drunk driver totalled our Eclipse Spyder on Thanksgiving. I wanted the exact package you wanted (Aero, Sport, Luxury) but Desert Platinum w/black interior. Due to the fact that my convertible was totalled and I needed a car immediately, I bought the sG35 sedan. Really, really happy with it. Feels weird owning a sedan but its a sweet car. Love the Nav. Handles really well.
I'm a mudder, and the lift + larger tires makes driving through our monthly floods a rather fun ordeal.
