im not going to get into this 'what place is better to live in' argument. but i'm going to be in town also. I also DO NOT want to watch the Colts vs Texans. Whats a good place to watch NFL Sunday Tickets with decent food in Htown nowadays? Anything in the Village? Two Rows? do they have Sunday ticket?
I second that Orange Show mention and would add the Art Car museum in the Heights. Hell, the Heights, generally, is cool. Even though I haven't lived in Houston since 2002, I miss it there. Cool people.
Well, to say it's open in winter is really stretching it. Only part of the park is covered, which adds up to about two slides, I think. I drove by a couple weeks ago, and there were probably about 10 cars in the parking lot, total. I imagine if somebody went there in the winter, they could do everything in about 30 minutes. I'm thinking that Schlitterbahn really overestimated the park's popularity in the winter, and will probably just keep it open during the Summer and Spring from now on. Plus, it just seems weird to go to a water park in the middle of the winter...way too much dressing and undressing. Maybe if the entire park were able to be enclosed, but not the way it is now...
One of the very top tourist attractions in Houston is "The Forbidden Gardens out in the Katy area. The only exact model of the terra cote warriors discovered in China. Also a display about the Forbidden City in China. They have an excellent little musuem. Small, but difinitely a world class exhibit. people from all over the world go to visit there. http://www.forbidden-gardens.com/visitor.htm You will need a rent car to visit.
Word...Don't get me wrong, I like being here, but Houston is great...I'm sure redefined is a nice guy, just confused...
