gotta love how he has that mentality where during the game everyone is our enemy, but after the buzzer sounded even though i dislike jhoward as a player/person, he warmed it to him and gave a little chat.
Definitely unexpected to see Artest break up three confrontations now. Even more unexpected to see that Yao or Tracy are involved in all three.
Heart, toughness, and intensity: the Rockets have been a bit short, but there is a new sheriff in town. It is rubbing off on the whole team. In the half time interview Artest stated confidently that the Rockets would "put them away" in the second. Dog gone it if he didn't go out there and do it.
Appreciate the affirmation, Deckard. I'm not trying to jinx this team, or this season, but I think it's already got a different feel to it. For the first time in several years, the Rockets have shown early on how to handle a team making a run at them, in a hostile environment... the main change I see is the leadership within and the respect coming from others. It must be Ron. For all the heart or desire we've seen... or for the mountain of "want to" we've had, I think Ron embodies a level of focus that's been missing. Surely he has matured enough and has also realized what a gift of an opportunity he's been given as well. This must be a real year... please, please let it not be a fluke, Rockets.
I didn't see it mentioned anywhere else but it should also be noted that Shane is using his time off (injured) to help Chuck Hayes with his free throws. We have some great guys on this team.
Shane is the man... one of my favorites all-time as a Rocket. This chemistry we're seeing is not to be taken lightly... It's a blessing that only top echelon squads enjoy. I almost wish I had a fast forward button to the end of the season... but then this year is going to be immensely fun to take in!
I agree with everything you stated in the original post. And I love shane as well, just a grade A guy. Too bad Chuck hasnt exactly shown the improvement on his free throw (except for those 2 clutch free throws against boston in the preseason). But when Shane was commentating with Matt and Bill one game, he said Chuck doesnt shoot freethrows like that during practice.

Hey guys, first time poster here. To force the start point, take a look at the 'start' parameter in the link. Its unit is measured in seconds. For example, to start at the 6 minute mark you set it to 360. http://www.youtube.com/v/fB-Qd_v73hg&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&start=360 Hope this helps.
Absolutely, we needed a player like Ron to come along and lift our game. We've finally got someone with leadership qualities that we haven't seen this decade with the exception of Sura. BTW (sorry off-topic): Does anyone know if Sura Rockets jersey's still exist? I'm also looking for the current style jersey with #34 Olajuwan. I'm from aus so i'd need to purchase from the internet.
