I love how the ron brings together the whole team during the game to correct their mistakes. It shows teamwork and leadership. I had never seen our players gather around each other to talk as i am seeing now with Ron Artest in there.
You know, I'm thrilled with Artest like you are, but what the hell do you think Shane Battier has been? Ron said he defers to him and they haven't played a minute on the court together. What does that tell you?
i dvr'd the game and just watched it over and over like 30 times. I tried to find the reaction to different individual mavs fans each time I watched it just to see the expression. Mark Cuban was hilarious, he called the time out with Carlisle. Oh man, that 3 was cold. What a great game.
I'm not saying t-mac doesn't cheer his teammates or care, because he does and he has in the past, but when ron hit that three late in the 4th i don't know if we've seen a happier t-mac and he was on the bench. he's excited. ron is bringing respect.
Warier shows a different type of leadership Battier might be a John Legend type Artest is Tupac Shakur type
I had no idea McGrady sat out the entire fourth until I watched it on TiVo. This team is going to be mad scary once Battier comes back and once we resign Deke towards the end of the season. The burden on Yao and TMac has be lifted. You can see it in their eyes. Ron was spectacular tonight. Dominated in the post and on the perimeter. Hustled on defense no matter who he was matched up with. And of course, he's got Yao Ming's back!
I love what Artest brings in terms of his toughness, versatility, and leadership. T-mac is not vocal at all, and that seems to deflate the Rockets a bit when they need their leader to pump them up. Same with Yao, of course. With Artest shouting, beating people up in the post, talking to teammates and standing up for Yao, the Rockets are always pumped when they need to be. I'm loving this trade. Hopefully t-mac can get back to his dominant self and Battier can come back as good as ever because this honestly me thinking championship. Any word on T-Mac and why he didn't play in the 4th btw?

In the darkest nights, Artest's got the heart to fight! When I saw Yao give Howard that hard shoulder after the foul the first thing I thought was that Artest is rubbing off on the team.
curiosity let's say the Ron Experiment is a success, leads us out of the first round, maybe to a title can he command 5yrs/50 million type of money? will we be in any shape to offer that money after this season?
Hell yeah! I couldn't agree more. Artest is THAT guy. I really like what I've been seeing from him, so far in these two games.
