I saw this movie twice at the theatre. I keep meaning to buy it on dvd, it's under 10$. It's an awesome movie. "Why you gotta waste my flava...damn!" "So let me get this straight, he has brownish hair, he's kinda tall, and he wears t-shirts sometimes? Trip McNeely!
I'm not ashamed of anything I like (excluding a couple of crazy fetishes), but I do love many movies other people hate (or are told they should hate, one): The Lost World: Jurassic Park- The best in the series, IMHO, despite almost completely ignoring the kickass book. Freddy Got Fingered- I laughed my ass off through the entire movie (compared to a combined two and a half minutes of laughter from the entire Austin Powers trilogy). Godzilla(1998)- Hated the iguana design, but was more entertained by this one than any of the Toho snorefests. I mean, c'mon. It's about a giant lizard tearing up a city. What the **** do people expect?! Probably more, but those are the main ones.
Well, I've never actually rented a Leprechaun movie, but I used to always catch them on Cinemax and Showtime back in the day when I had illegal satellite feeds... Also, Transformers: The Movie is NOT a bad movie, it ****ing rules! I also must admit I fall victim to the stupid simple High School movies of the late 90's, and Can't Hardly Wait is easily the best of it's genre... Keep em comin' fellas...we need more threads like these with the **** hitting the fan in Iraq...
think i saw First Knight at the movies (think that is what it was called had Sean Connery and Dick Gere in it) pile of crap, well worth for the pleasures that happened in the cinema
LOL, I seem to always watch that movie when I see that it's on tv. Jack Black is awesome. "Chocolate stain Blane" LMAO
Pitch Black isn't a cheese movie completely though because the camera work was actually pretty damn good and the acting wasn't too bad. It's like the only Vin Diesel movie where he has a plausible reason to have a shaved head and wear sunglasses the entire time. Scary Movie 2, Not Another Teen Movie, etc can't be counted because they're intentionally bad and the humor is actually pretty brutal. I can't believe you didn't mention some of these: Starship Troopers(Should have been called Starship 90201) The Ring I know I have a bunch of not so great movies from when I started collecting VHS movies before i got a dvd player.
I haven't found this one on DVD yet, but it has to take the cake out of all of the movies mentioned thus far.
I've watched Joe Dirt about 20 times in the past year. I love it. Apparently so do the programmers at HBO. also Evil Dead 2 Starship Troopers The 5th Element and sadly..... Gleaming The Cube
rocketspimp...no guilt need for ice pirates. i will get that once i find it on dvd. fatty fatbasard also 2 quality movies.
A lot of these movies I don't really see where the "guilt" is coming from. Some damn good movies in this thread. heres a couple I haven't seen listed: Barbarella(pretty pretty) flash gordon
Mateo, don't lump the 5th Element into this thread! That is classic science fiction... with a large dose of humor, a fox for a leading lady, and Bruce! Now, Starship Troopers blew chunks, but I have to admit that I found it pretty funny as well. The whole pseudo-fascist thing was a riot.
Killer Clowns from Outer Space. And the fact that I haven't seen one single classic Godzilla reference shames both me and you. Even the original with Raymond Burr counts. But more appropriate are movies like Godzilla vs Monster Zero, Godzilla vs Mothra, Destroy All Monsters!(Best. Guilty. Pleasure. Movie. EVER.) and any mention of Godzilla's mortal enemies - guys like Rodan, Mechagodzilla(created and operated by giant cockroaches), that smog monster that killed hippies and King Ghidorah brings a smile to my face. I must also mention Deep Blue Sea, because my hat is like a shark's fin . . . the deepest, the bluest.
