What are your favorite outdoor things to do in Texas?

    Not annoying, FB, at all. We went in mid-May, and indeed a lot of the cactus were blooming yellow and pink. Also, a lot of the "century plants" were sending up their enormous asparagus-like stalks with amazing blooms. (The century plants actually bloom every 25-50 years, only once, then fall over in the wind, spreading their seeds at least the length of the topple! Very cool.)

    Redfish, trout, and flounder fishing down near Matagorda Bay, specifically the areas around Port Lavaca and the surrounding area.
