    Stratego rocked.

I used to kick ass at that, and it inspired me to build real bombs later during my (brief) stay in High School.

Ooh yes, Risk on 'roids. Could never find anyone that would make a commitment to the huge undertaking that was setting up that game though. :(

26 replies and no mention of The Game Of Life? That was cool, you could actually reproduce in that game.

Also, what about Superfection? The one where you had to fit the puzzle pieces together before it popped up.

oh man, RC pro-am. how could i forget that most beloved of games. if my friend's nintendo hadn't been so screwed up and messed up most of his games, i'd probably be playing that to this day. loved finally getting to the really fast cars. oil slicks were always a b****.

I used to play this game called Flick 'em Stratego with a friend of mind where you would set up the game like normal Stratego but then you would take turns trying to knock down your opponents pieces by flicking one of your pieces with your thumb and middle finger and try to knock down as many of your opponenents pieces as possible. The one with the only standing pieces at the end wins. Fun. I think we were just such total dumb****s that we did not know how to play the actual game growing up. Anyway, it was pretty fun back in the day.

Risk is great... used to play it all the time. Uno is another.

My favorite is Go. Not many people play it in the States, but I discovered it in the late '60's and turned on some friends to it. We got addicted. Better than chess, imo. A one on one strategic battle to the death.
