you hate clubs? dude, knock back a shot or 2 or 3 in a sports bar or something first, and then see if you think its a good idea!
First, my post was basically a joke since most of those clubs haven't existed in years. Second, Emo's started in Houston. It was just north of Fairview in an old hotel building. Seriously...
Crome is a perfect example of what is wrong with most clubs. It's primarily fake people being served extremely overpriced drinks. I hate Crome with a passion. Now a good place to check out is Mosaic. It's downtown in the same building as Rock Bar, at Bayou Place. A friend of mine DJ's there on Friday's and it's always a good time. A really chill environment with good music and good people. My absolute favorite place in Houston these days is Etro. But don't go. It's perfect and I don't want it getting ruined. Edit: Never mind, I forgot you were under age. Both of those place are 21+.
what are you really looking for though? chicks or beer? it all depends man... if you want chicks... especially asian ones ( its almost 100% getting laid if you hook up with one or even two! ) go to club nexT
Mainly, I go wherever the music is going to be good. Outside of the regional club venues like Engine Room, Warehouse Live and the Meridian, which are clubs only because of size since they're only open when there is a show booked there, I gravitate towards Rudyard's, Continental Club and Dan Electro's for the most part. But, I don't go unless there is someone there I want to see or I'm playing there myself.
I've been doing the bar thing lately... I used to go to Hush, bikini beach, toc but I got to find a new place. 21+ to keep the youngsters out. I went to hush a few weekends ago it was 21+ but it was empty and lots of fuglies.. Im going to research some of these places and try one next weekand. looks like "next" sounds the best...
Haha, yeah. I was kidding. Have you ever seen that place on a Saturday night? It's ridiculously packed. Tejanos... everywhere.
I mean I'm Mexican and all but I wouldn't go there. I prefer the Hip-Hop music that I've grown up listening to. Btw I hear Rumba off Fuqua is alright for latino music. And some of these clubs people are mentioning I've heard that they're gay clubs except on certain nights. So be careful when ya'll go.
Last time I was back in Houston, I hit up Rich's and Shadow Bar. Both were packed and it was a fun experience. Rich's is 18+ but the waiting line is ridiculous unless you've got a girl with you, so make sure you bring one. Shadow Bar is 21+, so I'm not really sure how you'd get in, but the DJ there was awesome! I haven't been, but I heard Bonds is one of the best in Houston. I think it's 18+..
