Sweet, Manny..... I have not heard those two Roxy lps in years, and now you have me Jonesing. Roxy Music duiring that era was SO ****ing weird and brilliant. Close to the Edge is the best Yes by far, IMHO.
Yea, thanks to your tournament, I decided to buy some stuff by them. I like "Country Life" a little better but I need to listen to both again several times before making a definitive judgment. I do need to pick up "Avalon" mainly because it contains the one song I had heard by them in "More Than This". I am still raving about the King Crimson CD, "Discipline" and purchased the 2nd CD by that lineup in "Beat". I cannot get "Matte Kudasai" out of my head!
Mike Jones - Who is Mike Jones? The Game - The Documentary Fleetwood Mac - Rumors They Might be Giants - No! John Butler Trio - Sunrise Over Sea
Been spinning Odelay and Mellow Gold by Beck pretty heavily the past couple of days, others: U2-Best of 1980-1990 Coldplay- A Rush of Blood to the Head
My newly aquired copy of Nine Inch Nails [With_Teeth]. It will be in my CD player for at least the next few months... amazing.
A little disappointing, but after "Play" I don't think he is ever going to come close to topping that. The 2nd disc for "Hotel" is actually a good ambient CD.
I hope to be listening to Audioslave's next album coming out in May. Oh man, I can't wait for that! I think it will kick some serious ass. I have every Rage album and Audioslave's self-titled. I cannot get enough of the Morrello/Cummerford combination - those two are great. Most Recently Heard: Rage Against the Machine - Evil Empire Rage Against the Machine - Rage Against the Machine Weezer - Pinkerton Weezer - Green Album The Beatles - 1 The Beatles - Beatles For Sale U2 - How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb
nice, as it was never released on cd till last year, i wasnt too familiar w/ this one. however, its quickly come one of my favorite neil young records along w/ zuma and after the goldrush.
Asia - Asia Alpha - Asia Asia, a band, that had an impressive pedigree when it came to progressive rock with John Wetton (King Crimson), Steve Howe (Yes), Geoff Downes (Yes, but for only 1 album), and Carl Palmer (Emerson Lake & Palmer) but yet they did power pop - go figure, lol.
I've gotten kinda tired of following music these days and am just recycling stuff I've had for years. I've been listening to The Best of Little Walter in my car stereo. Right now I'm watching MTV2 and they just played a new Gorillaz single, Feelgood Inc., I think it's called. It sounded pretty good, it's been a long time since they've had anything new out...
