Are you really that high on the new Shins? I got it last week and its nice, but I'm a little underwelmed by it. I keep listening to it thinking something on it is going to reach out and grab me, but it's not happening. It will probably be a grower. And Dig Me Out completely rocks my world. I have the poster from the One Beat tour on my office wall just above my computer monitor. Sweet, sweet Corin Tucker.
moe.-Wormwood Dave Matthews-Some Devil eh, a bunch of others. I'm just proud of myself that I was able to go a whole week without buying a cd!!
Dave Matthews Band - Live at The Woodlands, 7/28/03 Well, not really. I was bored yesterday so I downloaded live bootlegs of all the songs they did at the Houston show and burned them in the setlist order. It's like I'm there all over again.
Hey if you guys like Dave Matthew's Band you should just admit it to the board instead of hinting around all the time...
It's a lot better than Oh, Inverted World, though it certainly is a 'grower'--you soon may find Pink Bullets is the best song of the year. I think your problem might be that you're expecting the band to go apeturds, particularly on So Says I, but they restrain themselves. It took a good five listens before I got over that and the melodies really struck me, and now it's always calling my name. I have to get that poster.
i just started downloading some black crowes. gotta say they rock. one track i have is off amorica but doesn't have a title. it is track 3, though. that song is awesome.
Just to clear up any potential confusion, the pic I posted is not the same as the poster. I'll try to find the poster and post it later. Death Cab for Cutie are in Fort Worth tonight. Anybody in North Texas going?
Well, this is the best I could find. It's kinda small and it been modified, but it's the same photo as my poster.
Just got my computer back and I've been making some good mp3 cd's for work... Bands that people need to get hip too... Clinic- All At the Drive In- Acrobatic Tenement The Sea and Cake Carry on... Manny I hate you.
good band... even if they don't like moshing going on at their concerts (with their sound it should be expected). what happened to them? did they break up?
Two of the guys (one, the singer) formed the Mars Volta, whose latest album is "De-Loused in the Comatorium".
The song "Saint Simon" on the new Shins album may be the best song I've ever heard. ...well, maybe not...but there hasn't been a better song released this year and I doubt there will be.
Don't know how many Delerium fans are here, but their new album, "Chimera" is okay but not as good as "Poem" or obviously, "Karma". However, the song "Just a Dream" is one of the best and saddest songs that I have ever heard and it makes picking up the album worth it.
Update: Car "Enigma 3" - Enigma "Semantic Spaces" - Delerium "Passion Soundtrack" - Peter Gabriel "Apurimac, Vol 2" - Cusco "Deep Forest" - Deep Forest "Tibet" - Waterbone "Oceania" - Oceania "Conjure One" - Conjure One Home/Work "Hard Wired" - Front Line Assembly "Mutter" - Rammstein "Nihil" - KMFDM "Original Sin" - Pandora's Box (got to get some Steinman in!) "Heaven and Hell" - Vangelis "Milennium" - Front Line Assembly "Songs of the Distant Earth" - Mike Oldfield
