kelis-"milkshake" single. over and over and over again. underrated singer. neptunes can make the most simple and least complex beat sound cool.
And with that, Kelly Dwyer snatches the infamous title of Coolest Poster this side of Greenland™. Congratulations, Kelly. A glazed ham and Dave Davies life sized lego replica have been dispatched to your address.
That can be overlooked. If you agree that Muswell Hillbillies is one of the more ambitious, yet simple ventures a band has made with their sound.
Great album. I like it almost as much as I like the Notting Hillbillies (with Mark Knopfler). A few years ago, '99 or so, I was in a band with a cat who wanted to cover "Village Green Preservation Society." I couldn't pull it off, especially because I had to sing it, and I had just turned 19 (couldn't really pull it off).
Has anybody here heard of the Von Bondies? I saw this commercial on MTV for their sunday night lineup and they played this cool song. Luckily, I was able to find it, it's called Lack of Communication. Just wondering if anybody knows more about this group's music?
The Von Bondies are awesome. I use them as inspiration in my punk ass b**** existence. Please add 5$ to the annual hangout fundraiser.
Now we are talking about some sweet Kinks stuff. They are one of the most underrated bands of all times. Some people won't believe it because of the hits like Lola, You Really Got Me, etc. But albums like Something Else, or Arthur or The Rise and Fall... They have many varied styles, and all of them top quality.
Was listening to "Agaetis Byrjun" and "( )" by Sigur Ros today and tomorrow I will listen to "Blank Generation" by Richard Hell and "Marquee Moon" by Television.

Resisting urge to get the new Bon Jovi... ( samples of it weren't too impressive, Bad Medicine got neutered... But the new "You Give Love a Bad Name" has a cool "Layla" Unplugged kinda thing going on.)
That whole thing just sounds like a bad idea. The only song that would sound good, IMO, is Wanted Dead or Alive.
Agreed. If they had taken a different route with the re-imagining though, it could've been awesome. Samples are here: http://www.islandrecords.com/bonjovi/thisleftfeelsright_audio.las [/jovi pimping] A lot of them remind me of Zelda 3 on SNES for some reason.
