My wife has plenty of sisters and my mom-in-law to cook. We sit and watch all my badass nephews play and then it's football time.

I am in charge of playing football with the nephews in the backyard and getting drunk.

    Not necessarily in that order.

    2 cups of flour
    3/4 cup of Crisco
    Dash of salt
3-6 table spoons of cold water

Use a pastry blender (http://images.google.com/images?hl=en&um=1&sa=1&q=Pastry+Blender&aq=f&oq=&aqi=&start=0) to cut the flour, crisco salt together. add the water 2 tablespoons at first and then 1 at a time until you get to a clumping consistency.

(you can do this with 2 knives but a pastry blender make the job much easier you can't do this by hand or the oil in you hands may mess up the crust)

I then use a cool wet rag to cool my counter top, put down a piece of wax paper and put the dough on it, cover with another piece of wax paper and roll to desired thickness.

Remove top piece of wax paper. Put pie dish face down on dough and flip the whole thing over. Press into dish. Crip up edges make crust edge. Fill with Pecan pie filling that I mixed in a separate bowl

Thanks for that. How do you make your pecan pie filling? I guess I should have asked that before too. ;)

    beat 3 eggs slightly
    add in 1 cup sugar
    1 cup caro syrup
    1 cup broken up pecans
    and mix all together

    pour into unbaked pie crust
    bake 325 for 1 hour

the pecans with naturally rise to the top while cooking.

sometimes depending on the humidity I brush the edge of the crust with melted butter with ~15 minutes left to cook to brown the edge of the crust just a little bit

    enjoy.

Nothing. I usually make the stuffing but a relative from another part of my family is doing Thanksgiving and they insisted they handle everything.

Are Thanksgiving and Christmas the only times where most of America sees their extended family?

I had Tofurkey once. It was the worst thing I've ever eaten and I've eaten jellyfish.
