Watching DECISIONES by myself. My wife goes to school at night. Uhhh... he's away quite a bit on the SPECIAL OCASIONS, isn't he? WARNING... WARNING... CAREFUL.
This will be the first Valentine's day that I won't be single. I will be making a nice dinner and spending a quiet evening at her place. On the menu will be: - Ontario VQA Late Harvest Ice Wine to start off - mushrooms stuffed with aged cheddar and baby green onions - baked brie with cranberry - shrimp salad - a nice bottle of (regular) wine to sip on during dinner and afterwards I can't wait for the food!
I will be spending valentines day with seven other men. damn that. It will be the first round of the YMCA "D" League playoffs. I hope we have an early game so we can get the F out of that place so I can do my thing later. Whatever that thing is.
Dessert wine to start off? My wife and I are going with another couple to Portland for Valentine's Day celebration (though it will actually be next weekend....rather than the day itself). We'll have no less than two meals at the Dundee Bistro, and we're gonna visit the Domaine Serene, Domaine Drouhin, and Argyle wineries. Beaux Freres too.....if they'll get back to me. We're also supposed to take a hot air baloon ride across the Willamette wine country. The wineries are supposed to be having special events for their club member--like Drouhin will have tastings from their Oregon winery as well as their Burgandy holdings. And I think Serene is pairing Pinot with chocolate in their tastings. I WON'T be losing any weight that weekend.
I'll be working. DT will probably be working. By the time that both of us get off and get showered and changed, etc. It will be 9:00, we will hardly have time to pick up some cheap awful tasting beer and some cheap, awful tasting food, probably frozen, go home and heat it up and eat it, before I have to go home and go to bed for work the next day... The same goes for him (the going to bed early for work the next day). And screw gifts! I'm so freaking broke I can't afford to waste the extra gas going to the corner store to buy the dinner described above! I can afford to give him air. Or a plant I take from somebody else's porch. That's about it. Maybe if I find some change on the floor between now and then, I can give him the change I find.
