What Are the Top 3 Issues the Front Office need to address this offseason?

Front Office:
1. Signing Posey or not.
2. Trading Rice or not.
3. Getting a veteran pass first point guard (like Avery Johnson).

Coaching Staff:
1. Design a O that takes full advantage of Yoa's passing and outside shooting skills.
2. Work on EG's skills to fit into the new O.
3. Work on Yoa's low post skills.

 

1] Rethink everything, examine what are their priorities.
2] Move Moochie and Rice.
3] Get a quality Power Forward that can play with the Rockets for at least 6 years, one that can play defence and perform without having the ball.[Brand]
4] Get a pass first Point Guard that can play defence. One that can play with the Rockets for at least 6 years [Ford]
5] Get some decent back up Assistant Coaches, put Larry Smith and Co back into the Tape Room, where they belong.

We do this any way we can!! We get back into a position in the Draft and we Trade. Every Rocket player should be available for the right Trade, should it help the Rockets.
Last seasons 'farce' is unacceptable by any fan with standards and a desire for a return to top level Basketball in the New Houston Arena.

you misunderstood me man. what i meant about playoff contender is that we missed the playoffs this season by a mere game. and with those changes, we might see the rocs be a real playoff contender and not just some team that can be knocked out on the first round(like the burned out suns).. see what i mean??

 

1. power forward - strong energetic rebounder and defender to start the 4 spot who will help take the pressure off of yao... brand would be a godsend, but lets be real (pjbrown, c boozer, etc.)...scoring would be a bonus, but he must be able to score without having the offense run through him except on spot situations........................................................................................

2. various (more than 1) reliable outside spot shooters that will be able to take advantage of outlet passes caused by double and triple teams set on yao and defenses that collapse on steve... boki must be developed for this very reason and he may also be able to help on need #3. favorable aquisitions would include players like m redd... back in the championship years we couldnt have enough shooters, now aside from rice we dont have any...

3. someone who can throw a decent inlet pass to yao in the post and hit the open three when that pass comes right back....as much as i hate to say it, this was one thing that robert horry has always been able to consistently do...........................................

4. figure out a way to keep steve as a point guard and assuage him to bring back the mentality he had when he first came into the league...he is much more valuable as a poing guard than as a shooting guard if he can only be convinced to to play as one he has gotten others involved when he has wanted to...get your points steve, just get everyone else involved first....also he is in no way shape or form the scorer that AI and making him a sg will be detremental to both his bball future and the future of the rockets...........................................................................................

5. veterans, veterans, veterans.....not necessarily veteran stars, but this is something this team needs more than perhaps anything else...we have lost countless close games and suffered through various losing streaks that perhaps would have been prevented with the presence some veteran leadership...this can hopefully turn us from a streetball team to a professional basketball team...............................................................................................

the cost for all this? mobley, griffin, taylor (good luck), cato(although he was very valuable as a backup), rice, moochie (good luck pt2), future draft picks..................................................

now how is this gonna work you ask.......we'll leave it up to cd and rudy....thats why they get paid the big bucks....................................................

2)get Yao back and healthy
3)hope like hell Larry Smith never has to take over for Rudy again
