i think the rockets will most likely adress their 2 guard spot this off season, rudy wants to be 100% affrective this season so we can make the playoffs.

    The Cat,

I like where you're going. But I think we're a bit too small in the backcourt. Steve, Cat and Mooch would be one of the smallest in the league, right? Not sure about that.

Anyways, it would be great if we had good backups at both spots, so that no one would have to play out of position.

I'd really rather have Francis and Mobley playing 38 minutes a game each, but come playoff time, shoot to 42 minutes. During the season, there would be 10 minutes behind each player for a backup.

Also, what about when we have a blowout, and we want to put our bench out there? I'd like to have a quality bench so that the Guards can enjoy watching the end of the game comfortably.

How good would you say Voshon Lenard is on D? Oh, and your thoughts on 2 players: Mitch Richmond, and Ira Newble?

Personally, I love the Mooch, but I don't like MAKING time for him just because we have him. I'm very comfortable signing a veteran who will play 10-15 minutes and provide leadership. Tim Hardaway maybe?

I really like the Mooch, but maybe he's gotten too good for our backup role?

    Ideal situation:

    Cato/Ming
    MoT/Griffin/T-Mo
    Rice/Nachbar/T-Mo
Mobley/Lenard or Bell or Richmond or Torres if he improved
    Francis/Veteran FA signing/Tierre

That would give our team some veteran experience, plus quality backups. Also, Mooch gets the minutes he deserves elsewhere.

Sasser could be OK, but hasn't played much. If we think he is better than OT he would be fine for a small contract. Quincy Lewis is a FA as well.
